It looks like Sony is also trying to boost sales for the PS4 Pro. Sony has just announced that they will be reducing the price of the PS4 Pro console in Japan.
The 1 TB console’s price will be reduced to 39,980 yen, which is 5000 yen fewer than its original price. This change in price will come into effect starting from October 12, and actually makes the PS4 Pro cost exactly as much as the PS4 originally did at the time of its launch. As of now, we don’t know whether a price change will also be followed in the West at some later date, so we’ll just have to wait for official confirmation. Apart from this, there will also be a price reduction for the Kingdom Hearts 3 Limited Edition PS4 Pro console, with its price being reduced to 48,780 yen which is, once again, 5000 yen fewer than the price that was originally listed.
If you missed your chance back in March to pick up the limited edition Glacier White version of the console, don’t worry, because this version will now be sold regularly, which means that it will be available at all times. Overall, it looks like Sony is trying some new strategies to boost sales of the PS4, and we’ll have to wait to see just how successful they are. One can at least predict that the Kingdom Hearts 3 Limited Edition console will do quite well in the market.
