But this depends on how the developer uses it. Like the GTX 1080, the PS4 Pro supports x2 16bit precision rendering, which, hypothetically doubles the performance if leveraged properly. The Scorpio will use a similar GPu, I’m sure, as this is a new growing GPU trend, starting with the Nvidia GTX 1000 series that released last year, and one AMD plans to introduce as well. So, yes, this will mean that the Scorpio will likely be 12TF comparable as well…again, assuming 2x 16bit precision/ mixed mode rendering, vs, the slower single 32bit precision rendering.
