PS4 Remote Play Now Unofficially Available on PC

It's an unofficial mod, but it works very well.

All three home consoles have some form of Remote Play built in this generation- the Wii U has made it its central concept, and streams to its Wii U Gamepad controller; the Xbox One streams to any mobile, tablet, or PC running Windows 10. The PS4 streams to the PS Vita, or to certain models of Android smartphones.

And now, thanks to an unofficial hack, it can also stream to PCs. If only unofficially, PC Remote Play is no longer the sole domain of the Xbox One.

“I’ve lost count the amount of hours I’ve put in over this time but I’ve enjoyed every moment working on this project which leads me onto my main point,” said Twisted, who has been working on the project part-time for over a year.

“I’d like to work on this project full time, adding features, getting it stable and porting it to other platforms which I know a lot of you want! The only way to support this is to charge for the app, all my previous projects have been free and I don’t want to have to but sadly its the only way to support my living costs.”

Which means that the software suite that enables this costs £6.50/ $10. If you are interested, you can buy it starting November 25.
