PS4 Topped Hardware Charts in November in North America, According to Mizuho Securities

Xbox One came in second, and Switch rounded off the charts.

It seems like Sony’s incredible gambit in November- selling the PS4 at $200- has paid off. The steep discount has apparently caused the PS4 to come in at first place in November’s NPD, according to market research firm Mizuho Securities. The Xbox One, which saw a steeper discount, as well as the launch of the Xbox One X, came in second place.

The Switch came in last place- although it is important to remember that it saw no bundling or discounts, which very clearly hindered it compared to the other two (you could get a PS4 with a game for half price compared to a Switch and a game).

These numbers are not official- NPD releases its report this Thursday- but the rankings have been confirmed to be true by them. As to what specifically each console sold, that for now remains to be seen- but I feel like all three consoles ended up having a very successful November in the end. Now onwards to December.
