The latest system update for the PS4, update 5.03, is now available to download worldwide. The update, as the incremental increase in the version number suggests, really isn’t that substantial. The changes include- well, there are no visible front facing changes. Sadly, it is not one of the vaunted stability updates, either- if the official language is to be believed, it ‘improves system performance’.
As such, the update isn’t actually all that hefty in size, either- it’s at 357MB, which means that, with PSN’s download speeds, you should have it downloaded by next Friday evening (seriously, Sony, please fix PSN’s download speeds, thanks).
Jokes aside, if you came in here looking for a major update, well, you’re off schedule- Sony launches those twice a year, once in April and then another later in around September or October. So we’re a few months off from the next feature rich update. May it be better than the disappointing 5.00 one.
