According to Neil Brown, Sony’s R&D senior team leader, the digital library of your PlayStation 4 games can be used anywhere and on anyone’s console.
“You can visit your friends house you can log into your account and play any game from your digital library, which is good. But how useful is that if it takes half a day to download the game you want to play? With Play As You Download you get much quicker access to at least the first section of the game so you can start playing quicker. So this makes a digital library a practical option in the real world.”
It’s nice that to know that the PlayStation 4’s digital library works the same way it as it does on the PlayStation 3 today. The consumers don’t have to worry about any new restrictions or annoyances. This is great news for people who enjoy sharing games with their friends via account sharing or people who like to hang out at their friend’s house.
