PS5 – DualSense Might be Getting Two New Colour Variants Soon

Red and black, and black and gray.

Black had been the general flagship colour of PlayStation for a long, long time, but with the PS5, Sony have moved in a new direction. White is the PS5’s new primary colour, and sure enough, its new controller – the DualSense – is currently available only in a white and black colour scheme. But that might be about to change soon.

Spanish site Area Jugones, who’ve previously accurately leaked PlayStation Plus-related info in the past, recently published a report, in which they claimed that according to their contacts within Sony itself, two new variants of the DualSense with new colour schemes are going to be announced and released soon. One of these will be red and black, while the other will be black and gray.

Of course, all we have to go on right now is this report itself, but it’s not far-fetched to assume that Sony will at some point launch more cosmetic options for the PS5 and its accessories for consumers. Will that happen in the near future, and in the way that this report suggests? That remains to be seen. For what it’s worth, a few months before the PS5’s launch, when asked about additional colours for the DualSense, Sony said they would “talk about it at some point”– take from that what you will.
