The PlayStation 4 is now available in North America for consumers, and while Sony launched it’s 1.50 update a day earlier and allowed users to download and install the same through a USB drive, it still faced problems as several gamers accessed PSN to update their consoles. Unfortunately, this had caused a massive outage of the PlayStation Network in some places.
Sony previously linked to a support page which informed us that PSN was experiencing “extremely high volume”. The support page has since been taken down so there’s a good chance that the problems with volume have been alleviated.
We can’t say we’re surprised – with several thousands of pre-orders in the United States (and more than a million worldwide) and consumers rushing to pick up their own console, it only made sense that PSN would have problems. Have you been experiencing the same or are things as normal as can be? Let us know in the comments below.
