Sony’s PlayStation Network faces significant slowdown yesterday. Servers were down and many players found it difficult to core gameplay services. The same issues were faced by Xbox Live, which is also currently back up for the most part. This comes off of threats from hacking group Lizard Squad to take down PSN and Xbox Live on Christmas.
The Ask PlayStation Twitter first tweeted out that, “We are aware that there have been issues reported with PSN. Thanks for your patience as we investigate.”
In a recent update, Ask PlayStation revealed that, “We are seeing reduced reports of network issues. We’ll continue to monitor – thanks for your patience and happy holidays!”
As it stands, you may still face slight issues when connecting to games and using online apps like YouTube and such. However, things seem to be back to normal. What are your thoughts on Lizard Squad’s attacks? More importantly, how is your Christmas going? Let us know in the comments.
