The original Xbox flopped so badly mainly because of its online requirements when announced. Hate on Phil Spencer all you want, but he’s working hard to repair the Xbox brand, and is a lot better than Don Mattrick. The always online was stupid for today’s day and age, but the features it would bring would have been beneficial for gamers everywhere, there was some cool stuff they had planned. In 10 years or so, always online with those features would’ve been on the money. Yes, Xbox fanboys did overhype things, but they didn’t really whine and complain. Fanboys across the entire gaming community are cancerous in general.

I’m going back to the original Xbone because MS and Xgimps failed to grasp that simple power isn’t the only reason it flopped and the brand became a massive laughing stock after years of existing decline.
