Rare Composer: “This is a Huge Year”, Teases Next Game

Robin Beanland makes with the hype.

Rare may not have delivered as many classics working with Microsoft as it did with Nintendo but the studio behind Banjo Kazooie, Perfect Dark and Goldeneye has been even more downplayed in the Xbox One era. It’s only worked on Kinect Sports Rivals thus far.

That will apparently be changing in 2015 though. Rare composer Robin Beanland has teased on Twitter that, “This is a HUGE year for Rare” while providing an image of musical notes on a sheet.

Any one who’s played Banjo Kazooie will tell you that music notes are part of the various collectibles in-game. This doesn’t necessarily mean this tease refers to a new Banjo Kazooie game but we wouldn’t mind (as long as it’s not another experiment like Nuts and Bolts).

What are you hoping from Rare this year? A new Perfect Dark? Maybe the return of Battletoads? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
