Capcom has revealed that Resident Evil Village, along side its Winters’ Expansion, will be making its way on to iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and supported iPads on October 30. The game will be priced at $39.99, while the expansion will be sold separately with a price tag of $19.99.
Apple and Capcom had announced that Resident Evil Village would be making its smartphone debut during Apple’s recent event where the company unveiled its new lineup of phones. The game will eventually be joined by Resident Evil 4, as well as host of other games like Death Stranding Director’s Cut and Assassin’s Creed Mirage.
The port of Resident Evil Village, as well as the upcoming Resident Evil 4 port are possible thanks to the new A17 Pro chip present in the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. The chip features hardware ray tracing support, as well as upscaling technology similar to AMD’s FSR and Nvidia’s DLSS.
Resident Evil Village has been quite successful for Capcom, and as of the end of June, had sold over 8.3 million copies. For more details, check out our review of its original release.
