Rumor – The Order: 1886 Clocks In Around 12 Hours

Shinobi602 reveals some inside information on The Order: 1886.

The well known and often reliable industry insider Shinobi602, who recently spoke out about Mass Effect 4, has taken to Neogaf to talk about the upcoming third person shooter, The Order 1886.

The slippery ninja said the game will be, “8-10 hours, 10-12 if you like to take your time, take in the sights and a explore a bit. Difficulty will also change things around.” In my opinion, the game is surprisingly short. When asked to clarify what he meant by “explore”, he said, “It is linear. I mean like checking every nook and cranny of a level. That’s how I play games like TLOU, Uncharted, etc…”

Some artwork released for the game has shown the games protagonist standing in a large open and crowded street. When asked how accurate this was to ingame moments, he said ““Huge” might be overstating it. There are some more open areas with larger numbers of NPCs…”

One possible redeeming feature for the game is that it its “narrative is super strong”, which is something. For me this is disheartening news if it’s accurate, but as usual take it with a bucket of salt.
