The firmware upgrade 1.7 for the PS4 just came out, but according to reports, people are having a few problems with it, including some very serious bugs that hamper the usage of the system. These bugs include discs being randomly ejected from the system, the system itself locking up entirely for no reason at random times, and party chat glitches that are particularly annoying for a lot of people.
However, according to Tidux, a reputed Sony insider who’s had a pretty solid track record with inside reports so far, Sony is about to launch a new firmware upgrade that will fix these issues and address more bug related problems on the PS4 system.
Tidux also reports that the inclusion of a friends list notification system will be included in one of the future firmware upgrades soon enough as well. It was about to be included in 1.7 itself, but some issues prevented that from happening.
This isn’t confirmed yet, of course, so take this as a rumour right now.
Stay tuned, and we’ll keep you updated.
