SNK revived their fighting game series with this year’s Samurai Shodown. The game brought back the classic feel of the series, and you can read our take on it through here. It is getting quite the continued support as well, and today we got word on when the game will be available to Nintendo’s newest system.
Via Weekly Famitsu, the Switch version of Samurai Shodown will come out in Japan on December 12th. It will run at 60 frames per second, much like the current versions on the market, and support single player Joy-Con multiplayer. It will also include a free copy of Samurai Shodown! 2, which was originally released on the Neo Geo Pocket (thanks to Gematsu for translations and transcribing).
While there’s no word on when the version will come to the west, the PS4 and Xbox One versions were very close together, releasing June 27th in Japan and the 25th in North America and Europe. So, odds are something similar will happen here. A PC version was also announced with a Q4 2019 release date, same as the Switch version, so we should also be hearing about that one soon, too.
