Samurai Shodown Tam Tam

SNK revived their legendary samurai-themed fighting series earlier in the year with Samurai Shodown. The game seems to have been a hit for them, to the point where it’s invading other fighting games. It’ll be a fight that won’t be ending soon, as today they announced that not only is a free bonus character coming to the game, but another season pass for next year.

The new trailer was shown at EVO, and goes over the first season pass characters that were previously announced, which you can read more about here. In addition to that, in September they add Shizumaru Hisasme for free, who you can see in action in the video below. This will mean starting this month a new character will be released for the game every month from August to December.

But that’s not all as 2019 isn’t enough to satisfy the quest for dominance. A second season pass is also announced for 2020 and will kick off with fan favorite Mina Majikina.

Samurai Shodown is available now for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It will be released on Switch and PC sometime in Q4 2019.
