Selected PlayStation 4 Games Getting Free VR “Upgrade”

No upgrade for DriveClub owners though.

As you know, Sony’s PlayStation VR headset is just a few months away, which raises the question of what will happen when you own a game that has a VR version as well? Luckily, Sony is going to offer owners of such games, a free VR upgrade, adding PlayStation VR compatibility.

There is a number of games getting offered this free upgrade, including the likes of Hustle KingsSuper Stardust Ultra and Bound. In addition to that, EA DICE’s Star Wars: Battlefront is getting a free downloadable add-on that adds PSVR support to the game.

Of course, some games will be purely dedicated and developed for VR, such as DriveClub, which is not going to support this offer, since its VR version is considered as a standalone game, with new tracks, cars, features and more. PlayStation VR headsets are expected to start rolling out on October 13th.

Thanks, VRFocus.
