Sniper: Ghost Warrior now hits the Platinum Range for Xbox 360

Time to crack some skulls.

Now you can shoot some skulls at a cheap price as Sniper: Ghost Warrior has been discounted and joins the Platinum Range on the Xbox 360.

The criteria for going Platinum according to City Interactive – the publisher of the game – is 700,000 units, which qualifies it for a reduction in price. Sony has a similar policy but it ranges from 500,000 to a million units.

Marshall Zwicker, City Interactive’s EVP Sales & Marketing for North America said:  “We are pleased by the success of Sniper: Ghost Warrior as it exemplifies our commitment to creating the premier sniper gaming experience.  With close to 3 million copies of the game sold worldwide across all platforms, the franchise is the benchmark for sniper games and we hope to establish a new standard with its successor, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2.”

City also talked a bit about Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 which is scheduled to release next year for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. The game runs on the CryEngine 3, and also has a rebuilt AI system, and realistic weaponry, ballistics and environmental factors.

Yeah, that’s what City said, and based on the first game, it should be fun.
