Sony Computer Entertainment CEO Andrew House recently talked at the Electronics Investor Relations Day 2015 about the excitement he’s feeling for this year’s E3, claiming his company’s exhibition will be an “exciting show.” House also talked about what he thought viewers would take from the event saying:
“I think that it will be a show where we see the next generation of hardware really start to deliver great content and great experiences that if not take full advantage of the platform, will a lot more advantage than we’ve seen before.
I think we’re seeing games become bigger experiences, that trend has not changed. I gave a first party example with Bloodborne earlier, I was reading some of the game media reviews on that. Some of the gaming press were calling this “the first proper next-gen title.” I really hope to see more of these experiences emerging at E3.”
House certainly isn’t sharing anything totally unexpected but it’s always nice to hear representatives of Sony touting just how good they believe the show is going to go. Earlier, we reported that Sony may have at least two unannounced games it will be showing off at E3 2015. There is also a veritable tsunami of indie titles that Sony is planning to announce for both the PS4 and PS Vita. Whether all of those indies are going to be announced at E3 or over the course of the year isn’t clear.
It’s going to be interesting to see what House and Sony have to offer when E3 2015 kicks off in the middle of next month.
