Sony Is Now Sending Out Invites For Beta Testing of PS4 Update 6.0

The update will focus on smaller fixes and improvements, and not any major changes.

Sony had started recruiting beta testers for the upcoming software update for the PS4 couple of weeks ago. Registration was open from July 19 until July 27, and now Sony is sending out invites for users to participate in the beta test for the update, as a user on Reddit pointed out.

The company stated that at this stage in the beta, the update will not be coming with any major changes, but will focus instead on some small fixes and improvements. As of now, it’s unclear whether the update will include any major changes or new features at all, or whether we just don’t get to see these at this stage of the beta test. If you had registered for the beta test and are interested in seeing what’s in store, then keep an out for an invite from Sony. As of now, we don’t know if this will be the only phase in the beta test or if there will be additional stages later on.

Anyway, we’ll be sure to keep you update as we find out more.
