I know Ninja Theory is giving us the, “It’s an indie approach” speech, but this is the dev who brought us Heavenly Sword, Enslaved: Odyssey of the West and DmC: Devil May Cry. Hardly a true indie in my opinion.

At Gamescom Sony showed 10 AAA games, announced AAA games, launched a playable teaser that gamers loved, and showed indie games close to AAA quality (The Tomorrow Children, Alienation, WiLD, Rime, Ethan Carter, HellBlade). Seems good to me.

They both had good shows though.

Every reputable outlet pretty much said that Sony dominated the conference. From new IPs, unannounced AAA PS4 exclusives, to secret reveals. Sony was the best and it wasn’t even close. Microsoft only showed games everyone has seen before. Nothing new AAA wise. Nothing at all.
