Uncharted 4 A Thief's End

Sony had a rather disappointing show at last week’s Gamescom specially if you are desperate to play AAA and high production titles on the PlayStation 4. The lack of any new information for Uncharted 4 and Shadow of the Beast made things more frustrating for PlayStation 4 owners.

Head of PlayStation Europe, Jim Ryan addressed these issues in a recent interview. When asked about the silence regarding the lack of info regarding Shadow of the Beast, Jim Ryan stated that it’s not cancelled and ‘it’s still coming.’ He also explained the reason behind the lack of Uncharted 4 at last week’s event. According to him it takes time to show something new to the audience. “Creating something for a show takes a lot of resource, and we put a lot of resource into E3,” he said in an interview with Metro.

He also commented on the recent timed exclusive deal for The Rise of The Tomb Raider for Xbox One and stated that they might consider a similar deal for other multiplatform games if the need arises. He also stated that there are many unannounced games that are being worked on for the PlayStation 4.

“I never rule anything in or out, but we’ve got all our studios, in all parts of the world, working on stuff for PS4 – some of it announced, some of it yet to be announced – and we’re pretty happy with what they bring,” he said.
