Look, I’m all for a new God of War, but the first time I saw its gameplay I was like “what the heck is that?”. Of course it won’t damage its sales, after all it’s still an incredibly good looking game and people like good looking games (way more than they like games with a great gameplay, it seems), but I think that the fact that it has become a simple action adventure is detrimental to its core identity.

Ans SSM was one amongst those few studios and God of War was probably the most successful franchise of the genre, considering that DMC 4 was a flop and so was Bayonetta, despite it’s undeniable value.

Square Enix just dropped IO Interactive because Hitman didn’t meet the financial forecast. The only stealth franchise that still has a huge appeal is MGS and Cthulhu only knows what will happen to that, considering that Kojima isn’t in charge of it anymore.
