Spider-Man E3 Demo is Longer With More Combat, White Emblem “Has A Purpose”

Insomniac says there are multiple ways to catch that darn heli.

Insomniac’s gameplay trailer for Spider-Man impressed more than its fair share of viewers especially with the quality of visuals, the sheer scale of Manhattan, the movement and combat system. That being said, Insomniac community manager James Stevenson took to clarifying several points about the demo.

For instance, the part where Spider-Man chases after Mr. Negative’s helicopter is in real-time and there are different ways to catch the helicopter. Stevenson noted on Twitter that, “We will be playing the demo LIVE on the show floor all week. It’s actually a bit longer with more combat.”

He then followed that by stating, “Plus our demoers all have their own ways of traversing the city, they can catch the helicopter really fast hah. Gotta hold back.”

Finally, if you’re wondering why Spider-Man’s outfit has a white spider emblem instead of a black emblem, then there is a reason. Insomniac replied to a fan’s crass question about the same on Twitter and said, “It’s explained in the game and has a purpose.”

Spider-Man is currently slated to release in 2018 for PS4 and will support PS4 Pro as well.
