Spider-Man Won’t Have Playable Demo, Runs At 30 FPS on PS4 Pro

Creative director Bryan Intihar clarifies a few details about the upcoming PS4 exclusive.

Insomniac’s Spider-Man is one of the biggest releases of the year and probably the most high-profile PS4 exclusive we’ll see for a while. However, if you’re still on the fence about picking it up, there won’t be a demo to make your decision easier.

This fact was revealed by creative director Bryan Intihar on Twitter. He also clarified in a follow-up tweet there would not be an online leaderboard for challenges. If that weren’t enough, PlayStation 4 Pro owners won’t be able to run the game at 60 frames per second and 1080p resolution. The game will remain at 30 frames per second, just like for regular PS4 owners.

There is good news though – while questing for materials to craft your suit, the game will tell you exactly what’s required. It’s a mild silver lining but at least you won’t be running around trying to figure out what’s next on the material shopping list.

Spider-Man will be releasing on September 7th.
