Google announced their streaming game focused service, Stadia, at the beginning of the year. Since then there’s been a lot of speculation about the service, from whether it’s a realistic idea for the future, to it’s price, to how it will handle the many hurdles a streaming service of its size will come up against, to, maybe most importantly of all, what the game situation will look like. Well, we knew the company had plans to detail at least some of that this summer, and now it looks like we have a date for that first ever event.
Via the official Stadia Twitter, you can see the announcement of the first ever Stadia Connect just before E3, on June 6th. It promises launch information, the price reveal, and announcements about games. The event will begin at 9 AM PDT.
It’s the first ever Stadia-branded event, so it’s a big opportunity for Google to win skeptics over. The CEO seems to think trying the service makes all the difference, but let’s see if that can translate to the stage.
