Ever since Google announced their streaming game service, Stadia, there’s been lot of talk about it. Whether it’s been anticipation of the future, or skepticism about how viable the service itself can actually be. We really don’t know much of anything about it at this point outside the basic concept and a few games. That should be changing soon, as Google has announced that more details for the service will be coming by summer.
You can see the official Stadia Twitter below. Google is promising that we will see price information, game announcements, and details about launch. Obviously, the game announcements are going to be a big part of the service, but the price will also probably be key to how successful the service can be.
The games industry is changing, along with the coming of next generation consoles, with streaming being a big part of that. It’ll be interesting to see if Google can really penetrate the market, or if their ambitions will never leave the cloud.
