After re-asserting its existence in recent months, Blizzard Entertainment has announced that StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void will have its closed beta starting on March 31st. Only a small number of players will receive invites but the participant numbers could increase as the test grows larger.
Given that this is a closed beta, there will be some content and other features missing near the beginning. The test will run “for a longer period than usual” though and it will have Archon Mode available for play. Other changes that have been made include altering game speed to match real time speed; alterations to the number of resources at each base; an increase to the starting worker count; and much more. Check out the full range of changes at Battle.net.
StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void has no firm release date as of yet and will be arriving on PC and Mac. Thoughts on the closed beta? Let us know below.
