Blizzard’s Starcraft: Remastered will be releasing on August 15th and retailing for $14.99/£12.99/AU$21.95. The remastered classic will bring the iconic campaign and multiplayer to today’s fans.
Along with including the original game and Brood War expansion, Starcraft: Remastered will have support for widescreen ultra-HD up to 4K resolution. Single-player cutscenes have also been upgraded to high-definition. Improved music and sound, cloud save support to track your campaign progress along with saving replays and hotkeys, and new matchmaking which allows old-school version owners to play with Remastered players.
Player profiles will now track individual statistics as well. If that weren’t enough, you can switch between the Remastered style and the old-school style. Those who pre-purchase the game will unlock three building skins – the Char Hive, the Korhal Command Center and the Aiur Nexus – along with co-op commander Alexei Stukov and three portraits in Starcraft 2.
