Epic Games has announced that it will be holding a live streamed presentation during the upcoming Game Developer’s Conference 2023. The presentation, titled State of Unreal, will likely focus on games being developed using the new engine, and is set for March 22.
For the sake of context, the previous year’s State of Unreal featured studios like Crystal Dynamics and CD Projekt RED announcing a move away from their older game engines on to Unreal Engine 5. The company also showed off the Lyra and the City demo.
The presentation will likely focus more on the development side of things than the consumer side, and new games will likely not be announced or shown off. Instead, developers will get a glimpse at new features coming to Unreal Engine 5, as well as other new Epic technologies, such as MetaHuman.
The company is also set to have a series of talks for developers revolving around programming, art, and game development.
The State of Unreal presentation is going to be livestreamed on the company’s YouTube and Twitch channels.
