Nintendo have confirmed via their official Twitter page that they’ll be holding a Direct presentation tomorrow focusing exclusively on the upcoming platformer / creation toolset, Super Mario Maker 2. The presentation will be roughly 15 minutes long, and Nintendo is promising that it will be “packed with information”. It will air tomorrow at 3 p.m. PT / 6 p.m. ET.
We haven’t seen a great deal of Super Mario Maker 2 since its announcement in February. We got to see a very short clip of it recently, while Nintendo have also detailed its special editions and what they’ll be coming with. In addition to that, there have also been some reports that have suggested that the game will be dropping Amiibo support– but beyond that, there’s been very little concrete information on the game thus far.
We can assume that we’ll also be seeing a bit of the game during Nintendo’s E3 Direct presentation, but with tomorrow’s Direct being dedicated solely to Super Mario Maker 2, it’s safe to assume that the game won’t be much of a focus next month. It launches exclusively for the Switch on June 28. Stay tuned for all the updates tomorrow.
