Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Version 3.1.0 Out This Week, Contains Fighter Adjustments

Convert existing replay data to videos - it will be incompatible with the next update.

Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will receive its next major update later this week. According to the company’s Twitter, the update will bring the fighter up to Version 3.1.0. It contains “fighter adjustments”, which we assume could mean balance changes.

That means any replay data from previous versions of the game will become incompatible with the next update. Convert them all to videos by heading to the Vault before updating to 3.1.0. Expect full patch notes to be out later this week with more detailed information on fighter changes.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate launched in December 2018 and has become one of the Nintendo’s highest selling games on the Switch, with 13.8 million copies sold as of April. In terms of support, the game’s first DLC character, Joker from Persona 5, is currently available, along with the new Stage Creator tool. Perhaps we’ll hear about the next Fighter Pack and its contents at E3 2019 during the Nintendo Direct? Stay tuned for more updates in the meantime.
