Another year is quickly passing us by. It feels like you just can’t escape that grip of father time as he rips life from you, bit by bit. But, well, at least nowadays there’s lots of free games being given away week to week- and today we got a refresh on the Epic Games Store, with two historical-based video games that are quite different from one another.

First up is Kingdom Come: Deliverance, an RPG set in the time of the ancient Holy Roman Empire. The game puts you in the shoes of a character who is looking to avenge his parents, in an open world filled with quests, influential choices, and deep combat.

Aztez is a beat ’em up and turn-based strategy hybrid title where you, as an Aztec warrior, must fight the against the invading Spanish. It’s a bloody, bloody affair with speedy and brutal action, as well as management of your under siege empire.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance and Aztez are free on the Epic Games Store until February 20th. Faeria will be the next free game in rotation.

It’s another week of free offerings on the Epic Games Store with board game Carcassonne and turn-based strategy Ticket to Ride. You can claim them from now till February 13th. An Epic Games Store account is required though along with the launcher to actually play said games.

However, next week is when things really heat up. Along with turn-based strategy/side-scrolling brawler Aztez (which is fairly good in its own right), Warhorse Studios’ Kingdom Come: Deliverance will be free. The title is a massive action RPG set in medieval times and takes a more realistic approach to combat and adventuring.

Though it launched in February 2018 with numerous bugs, the developer has pushed out a number of updates and bug fixes. Several DLC packs have also been released (though these would have to be purchased separately). Kingdom Come: Deliverance and Aztez will be available free from February 13th to 20th on the Epic Games Store.
