At San Diego Comic-Con 2018, Treyarch announced a Zombies-focused edition for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. It’s a limited edition physical package and comes with tons of collectibles. Along with a physical Mystery Box made up of faux skeleton parts that lights up, the base game and Black Ops Pass are included as well.

However, you also get Zombies Heroes FiGPiNS, featuring Scarlett, Bruno, Diego and Stanton, the cast of IX and Voyage of the Dead; a 1,000 piece, 10th Anniversary Zombies Puzzle which celebrates the art of the series; Dark Horse Comics’ first issue of Zombies, which includes an exclusive cover for the Mystery Box Edition; three collectible lithographs for each new map; a PopSocket with a skull logo; and the Limited Edition Specialist Icons, which are patches inspired by the multiplayer specialists.

The Black Ops Pass includes a new Zombies map, called “Classified”, four new Zombies “experiences”, 12 more multiplayer maps, and four characters exclusive to Blackout, the new Battle Royale mode. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is out on October 12th for PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Treyarch’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will be offering more information to diehard Zombies fans at San Diego Comic-Con, which is something that was teased not too long ago. To further build hype, a new teaser has been released on Twitter with the tagline “Chaos awaits”. The teaser itself is essentially two glowing zombie eyes in the background. When one user commented that it looks like a hellhound, Treyarch responded, “All will be revealed in time, but you may want to take another look.”

The Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Zombies Comic-Con panel will take place on July 19th at 1 PM PDT/4 PM EDT. Thus far, Treyarch has confirmed not one or two but three unique Zombies maps at launch. “Voyage of Despair” and “IX” will form the new Chaos storyline so that’s likely what the Comic-Con panel will discuss.

They feature four new characters – Scarlett, Shaw, Diego and Bruno. Don’t worry though – the original cast of Dempsey, Nikolai, Takeo, and Richtofen aka Primis will also be returning in Blood of the Dead, a remake of the “Mob of the Dead” map from Black Ops 2.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is out on October 12th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. It will receive a multiplayer beta in August, with a beta for the battle royale mode, called Blackout, in September.

One of the big things being talked about when it comes to Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s PC launch is the fact that it’s launching with the Blizzard launcher – Battle.net. That has many implications, and one of the big ones is that it might have an impact on the game’s modding. According to Treyarch, that is something that is being looked into, but at the same time, it isn’t something the studio is ready to talk about just yet.

In an interview with GamerHubTV, Treyarch co-studio head Dan Bunting was asked the question of how launching with the BattleNet Launcher will affect the game’s modding community, to which he said, “That’s a good question. At this point in time we’re not quite ready to talk about what the plans are for modding. Of course, people who have been with Treyarch for a long time know that we are big fans of the modding community. Many of our developers, we hire directly from the mod community, because they built a mod that got noticed. With Black Ops 3, we released mod tools for the first time in the franchise for many, many years. We’re big believers and supporters of the mod community, but we’re not quite ready to start talking about that yet.”

That’s good to know, that at least this is something they’ve thought about, and that it isn’t something that has been completely kept off the table. Modding is, after all, a major, major part of playing any game on PCs for a large number of people, so hopefully Activision and Treyarch will be releasing more details on this sooner rather than later. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 launches on 12 October for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Activision’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 had a distinct lack of Season Pass information when it was first revealed in May. Of course, that’s now changed as the company finally announced what fans could expect (along with two Digital Deluxe editions and the physical Pro Editions).

First off, the Season Pass is called the Black Ops Pass and will include 12 multiplayer maps, a new Zombies map at launch, four new Zombies maps and four “exclusive” characters for Blackout. Instead of four map packs through the year, this content will be released on a frequent basis. Which maps correspond to which Zombies campaign have yet to be revealed.

As for the Deluxe editions, the Digital Deluxe Editions will feature bonus items, the Black Ops Pass and the base game. The main difference is on how many COD Points are received in each edition. Then there’s the Pro Edition which features the base game, a steelbook cover, a Pop Socket themed on the game, 10 patches based on the Specialists, three Zombies art cards, the Black Ops Pass and 1,100 COD Points.
