Leaked yesterday, Sony has now officially unveiled next month’s slate of free titles for PlayStation Plus subscribers. They include FIFA 22 and Tribes of Midgard for PS4 and PS5 players along with Curse of the Dead Gods for PS4. All three titles will go live on May 3rd.

Those interested in diving into FIFA 22, which features a number of improvements over its predecessor, can also avail a bonus FUT Pack via PS Plus. It includes 11 players that are rated 82 or above along with the Icon Moments Loan Player Pack for adding a stellar player to your roster. Tribes of Midgard is a survival action RPG experience by Norsfell which sees players guarding the seed of Yggdrasil from the forces of Helheim, including the Jotnar.

By venturing out into the world during the day, one can discover powerful items and resources to upgrade their base before night falls and the raids begin. Finally, there’s Curse of the Dead Gods, an action rogue-like set in a cursed temple with Relics, powerful weapons and lots of ways to die. As one progresses further, they’ll accumulate Curses which can either adhere to or punish your playstyle.

It’s also worth noting that Persona 5 will be leaving the PlayStation Plus Collection on May 11th. It can still be downloaded and accessed if you add it to your library before then (as long as the PS Plus subscription is active).

FIFA 22 and Tribes of Midgard will be playable on PS4 and PS5 while rogue-lite Curse of the Dead Gods is the PS4 version.

The next slate of free titles coming to PlayStation Plus subscribers has been leaked. According to prominent leaker billbil-kun on Dealabs, EA Sports’ FIFA 22, Passtech Games’ Curse of the Dead Gods and Norsfell’s Tribes of Midgard will be available on PlayStation Plus in May.

FIFA 22 and Tribes of Midgard will be available for both PS4 and PS5 players. Curse of the Dead Gods is on PS4 but PS5 players can play it via backwards compatibility. FIFA 22 is the latest in Electronic Sports’ yearly football franchise (which could be renamed EA Sports FC next year). Tribes of Midgard is an action RPG survival title that sees players exploring the world of Norse mythology and protecting the seed of Yggdrasil from forces of Helheim and the Jotunn.

Curse of the Dead Gods is an isometric rogue-lite taking place in a randomly generated temple full of traps, enemies and treasure. As players progress, they’ll accumulate different Curses which can be dangerous (but also provide some benefits). There’s a hefty amount of content and weapon variety to be had overall.

Sony hasn’t officially announced the PlayStation Plus titles coming in May so stay tuned for confirmation in the coming days

Play as The Drifter, Skul, and Juan among other heroes with unique new outfits and weapons. The update is live for PC and coming later to consoles.

Despite being over three years old at this point, Motion Twin’s Dead Cells continues to receive support. Its 26th update “Everyone is Here!” may just be its craziest yet – it adds skins and weapons to mimic protagonists from titles like Hollow Knight, Guacamelee, Blasphemous, Hyper Light Drifter, Skul the Hero Slayer and Curse of the Dead Gods. Check it all out below.

The update will start players with a book of riddles with challenges that must be completed for the outfits. Lore rooms must also be discovered to find the weapons themselves. While Hollow Knight’s hero doesn’t quite make an appearance, you can obtain the Pure Nail to attack up and down along with bouncing on enemies while attacking downwards (which inflicts critical damage).

The Drifter gets their energy sword and Hyper Light Gun – fire the latter to mark targets and use the former to deal critical damage. More marks on a target equals more damage. As for The Penitent One, using the Face Flask will deal self damage and convert 35 percent missing health into recovery. Juan from Guacamelee can use Pollo Power to transform into a chicken that lobs explosive eggs around him at enemies.

Skul has a bone club for slaying foes with a whirlwind attack as its secondary that deals critical damage. Finally, the explorer from Curse of the Dead Gods brings his trusty machete and pistol – the first two attacks use the machete while the third unleashes the firearm to deal critical damage. Holding the attack button charges up a stronger ranged attack which is slower.

The update is currently live on PC and will come to consoles and Mac later. Check out the rest of the patch notes below.

Lumines Remastered, Dodgeball Academia, Starmancer, Art of Rally and Microsoft Solitaire Collection: Premium Edition are also coming.

Microsoft has announced the first wave of titles for Xbox Game Pass in August, starting with Curse of the Dead Gods, Katamari Damacy Reroll, Dodgeball Academia, Lumines Remastered, Skate and Skate 3 on August 5th. Both Skate titles are available for consoles for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members (via EA Play) while the other games can be accessed on cloud, console and PC.

Starmancer also enters Xbox Game Preview on the same day for PC and plays like a more sci-fi take on Rimworld. On August 12th, Art of Rally becomes available for all platforms while August 13th sees the arrival of Supergiant’s Hades. If you’ve never played the roguelite before, then it’s well worth jumping into.

The month is rounded off with Microsoft Solitaire Collection: Premium Edition for PC on August 17th. It’s essentially Solitaire with daily challenges, Achievements and competitive events with no ads. Of course, a number of titles will also be leaving the service this month, starting with Grand Theft Auto 5 on August 8th for cloud and consoles. Here are the other titles that will be gone on August 15th:

Ape Out (PC)

Crossing Souls (PC)

Darksiders Genesis (Cloud, Console, and PC)

Don’t Starve (Cloud, Console, and PC)

Final Fantasy 7 (Console and PC)

Train Sim World 2020 (Cloud, Console, and PC)
