Everything you need to know about Dakar 18.

Dakar 18 is a rally racing simulator developed by BigMoon Entertainment. It is based on the annual Dakar Rally, which is an endurance rally raid and is often cited as one of the most gruelling and demanding rally events in the world.

Development

BigMoon Entertainment have in the past worked on creating 3D art for games such as WRC, FlatOut, and MotoGP, but Dakar 18 is going to be their first developed video game ever. It is also the first Dakar rally game to be made by anyone in 15 years. While developing Dakar 18, BigMoon’s aim first and foremost has been to create a completely faithful and authentic simulation of the real world event. In fact, the developers have also stated that they want to make it so that drivers training for the rally raid can use Dakar 18 as a simulator for training at home.

Dakar 18 is the first game in a three game deal, and with it, BigMoon Entertainment are planning to launch what they state will be an annual franchise. Dakar 18 is made using the Unreal Engine 4.

Gameplay

Being based on the Dakar Rally, which moved to South America from Europe and Africa in 2009, Dakar 18 is set across three South American countries- Peru, Bolivia, and Argentina. The game is set in an open world environment, which will be one of the biggest open worlds ever in a racing game, spanning over 20,000 km². The entirety of this map will be explorable. Players can also exit the vehicle at any time and explore on foot. The developers have stated that the game’s world will represent a lot of different topography, with various biomes ranging across deserts, sand dunes, beeches, rivers, mountains, rainforests, lakes, grasslands, and more. Though it is a rally-based game and focuses primarily on off-road driving, some locations will also see better built roads and small rural settlements. There will also be some wildlife in the map, such as rabbits and llamas. The game will also have different kinds of climates and weathers.

Progression in Dakar 18 is not done through checkpoints or laps or conventional races. There will be a total of fourteen stages, each of which can taken between one to two hours to complete, depending on the player’s skill level. Faithful to the real world event, players will, have to collect a series of waypoints as quickly as they can while competing. For doing this, they will have to rely on manual navigation, which means there will be no maps or markers or pointers to tell players where to go. Instead, players will have to rely on the Dakar roadbook, which the developers have recreated in the game. The roadbook will include details about landmarks, and distances to the next waypoint, and players will have to use these details to navigate the open world with the help of a compass.

There will also be a co-pilot in the passenger seat who will aid with navigation by telling players about pointers from the roadbook. However, Dakar 18 will also make some concessions for newcomers or for players who want a more relaxed experience. This will come through the Rookie Mode, and while the developers have stated that it will not completely change the experience by adding waypoints and directional help, it will still give players enough tools to help make navigating the environments easier. For instance, a marker will be added to the compass, showing players which direction they need to be heading in to get to the next waypoint. Players can make use of rookie mode to learn courses before they jump into the proper mode, or to get the lay of the land or learn the game’s physics and mechanics.

Additionally, BigMoon Entertainment have also created five training regimes to help new drivers learn the basics of the experience, which they have crafted with the help of Honda and by looking at the latter’s own training regimes for new drivers. Driving will also consume stamina, while the game will also have damage mechanics. Vehicles will get more damaged as players drive them more, or if they do not drive them properly and cause damage themselves. Parts such as the suspension, brakes, and others will individually deteriorate with damage and affect driving and performance. As such, vehicles will need to be maintained and regularly repaired. Players will have to fix their vehicles manually by exiting the vehicle and inspecting individual parts. They can also help with repair and towing of competitors’ vehicles. This will be done through Dakar Points, which players earn in-game by getting to waypoints or performing other in-game tasks, such as towing competitors’ vehicles when they are stuck in terrain and require help.

Dakar 18 will have several vehicles across five different categories of vehicles- cars, quads, trucks, UTVs, and bikes. Each vehicle type will have its own teams, all of which will be officially licensed. This will include drivers as well, all of whom will be scanned into the game completely, which means players cannot create their own character. The licensed teams for vehicles are: for bikes, KTM, Honda, Yamaha, and Husqvarna; for UTVs, UTV XtremePlus Polaris official teams; for trucks, Kamaz, Maz, Tatra, Mammoet Renault, and Veka MAN; for quads, Quad riders Ignacio Casale, Sergei Karyakin, Alexis Hernandez and Rafal Sonik with Yamaha Raptor; for cars, Peugeot, Mini, Toyota, Renault, and Mitsubishi.

The types of vehicles will also all affect players’ driving, since they may or may not be compatible with the kind of terrain being driven on. For instance, while motorcycles might find it harder to wade across rivers, a task for which trucks might be better suited, the latter would not be suited to driving over sand dunes. Due to their weight, trucks might sink into the sand and get stuck. Further, players will also have to keep in mind the game’s physics while driving across obstacles, across various terrains, or at high speeds.

The game will have an online multiplayer component as well, which will allow up to eight players to compete in rally events against each other. The developers plan on increasing the player count to sixteen some time after the game’s launch. Split screen offline multiplayer is included as well. Dakar 18 will also have a Treasure Hunt mode, which will provide a break from the main rally activities and allow for exploration of the world at a slower pace for some side activities. Treasure Hunt mode is a free mode that can be played both single player and multiplayer. The developers have four easter egg items in each of the three countries represented in the game’s world – Peru, Bolivia, and Argentina – which players can then go on the hunt for as part of the Treasure Hunt mode.

Note: This wiki will be updated once we have more information about the game.

The Xbox One X has been a darling system for most – if not all – video game developers, given its immense capabilities by console standards, and that seems to be true for BigMoon Entertainment, developer of upcoming rally simulator Dakar 18, as well.

We recently conducted an interview with BigMoon’s Paulo Gomes, and asked him about what impressions the Xbox One X, with its impressive hardware, has left on him and his team, and called it “the correct evolution to approach the next-gen consoles”. Gomes went on to say that the Xbox One X allows them to create a more authentic simulation of the Dakar Rally, and as such seems like a right match for them- though based on response from consumers, that may change in the future. Maybe even the Switch will be a viable option.

“Xbox One X is the correct evolution to approach the next-gen consoles,” Gomes told GamingBolt. “It’s the correct way, so we can work on a more realistic Dakar representation. However, we need to see how the market will respond. We need to confirm if the consumers will be more interested in a powerful machine, like Xbox One X, or a Nintendo Switch. We would love to focus on such a machine and explore it. On the other hand, if we don’t find a big number of users on this platform, then we’ll need to adjust investments.”

I have to say, given the kind of uber-authentic simulation nature Dakar 18 is going for, and its grand ambitions (it has a world map that exceeds 20,000 km²), it would be hard to develop it for something like the Switch. Considering that, the Xbox One X (and PC and PS4 Pro) does seem like the right fit for BigMoon.

Dakar 18 launches on September 11 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

The developers of Dakar Rally discuss their approach to bringing the world famous desert rally to the video game form.

DAKAR 18 is based on the world famous annual rally raid. It brings all of the goodness of desert rally racing to video game form, and it gives you an entire open world to explore. There are five different vehicle classes to choose from and the title aims to up the experience with great visuals and realistic physics.

To learn more about the game and its development, Gamingbolt reached out to the developers with some questions, and the following answers were provided by Director at BIGMOON, Paulo J. Gomes.

"I’m sure if we weren’t an independent studio, our owners wouldn’t allow us to invest all our money on such an innovative title"

What made you decide to adapt the Dakar Rally experience to a video game?

BIGMOON has developed games as a service provider (work-for-hire studio) for its first seven years, including work on racing games such as WRC 3, WRC 5, MotoGP 13, FlatOut 4, and also on action games like Lichdom: Battlemage or Jagged Alliance: Back in Action.

When we decided to start working on our own titles, we decided that we wanted to create something new, something different – something that has never been developed before, and a title where we could join our Adventure/RPG dev Skills with the Racing genre. That’s why we decided to bring the Rally Raid genre to BIGMOON. On top of that, DAKAR RALLY is known as “the toughest rally in the world.” We thought it would make a great adventure, since both elements are in our development DNA.

Of course, we have had people tell us that creating something so unique is very “risky.” We know and embrace that! I’m sure if we weren’t an independent studio, our owners wouldn’t allow us to invest all our money on such an innovative title.

What are some of the crucial elements you had to get right to capture this experience?

I would say that Dakar’s founded on four crucial elements, following this specific order of importance:

“Navigation” – As with any Rally Raid / Cross Country Rally, there is no street to follow, you need to navigate using the official “Road Books”.

“Open World” – To match with the official “Road Books” from the real race, we also have to recreate a huge and harsh open world, covering Peru, Bolivia and Argentina, with the rivers, mountains, dunes, weather, rivers, mud areas, fesh fesh etc; a real land filled with hazards and something that would ultimately make the navigation component shine! If you can’t get lost, what’s the point of navigation? So, we made this vast scenario where you can literally roam for hours to best recreate the real Dakar experience.

“5 Categories” – Dakar is not only about cars. It is about five kinds of vehicles (Cars, Bikes, Quads, Trucks and SxS). That’s why we decided not to license a pre-established vehicle game engine and create our own from scratch. It’s a steeper challenge for us, but since we want to develop several Rally Raid games, this will allow us to update it and adjust it freely.

“The Player is the Pilot” (not the vehicle) – That means you can exit the vehicle, explore, ask for help or rescue others. That’s the essence of Dakar as well. And it will allow us to further develop certain aspects of the game later on.

What can you tell us about the open world setting in the game?

DAKAR18’s open world has more than 18.000km2 (+7,000 miles2) and it is not a fantasy area. It is a 1:32 replication of the selected areas of Peru, Bolivia and Argentina.

We replicated the locations, the type of landscape, the rivers, the mountains, the beaches, etc.

We also take into consideration the kind of vegetation for each area, the atmosphere and respective weather. Everything is dynamic to get the feeling of the time-lapse that goes from day to night, from sunny to rain, including fog, thunderstorms, etc.

Despite being a huge world, it also includes dynamic terrain, like mud or soft sand and fesh fesh areas, all of which are important hazards to avoid.

On a related note, why did you choose to have an open world setting for the game?

As I said before, this is a “Rally Raid” a.k.a. “Cross-country Rally” game (the 1st of its genre).

These rallies are based on “Navigation.” It’s not possible to represent a “Cross Country Rally” without the implementation of a Navigation System based on FIA Road Books. And if you need to navigate, that means you must have a huge and realistic area that allows you to simply get lost in the middle of nowhere.

Replicating that feeling wouldn’t be possible with a small pre-loaded track. Deciding against an open world would work if our game was based on WRC or Rally Cross genres, but not for a Rally Raid game.

What are some of the main different game modes that we will find in this game?

DAKAR18 includes four different game modes. “Single player adventure career”, “Multiplayer off-line” (Split Screen for two players), “Online Multiplayer” (up to eight players) and finally the free-mode called as “Treasure Hunt.”

The last one is a freeplay-mode that can be played in single player or in multiplayer. But here, the goal is to explore the countries to find cultural “treasures” related with Peru, Bolivia and Argentina cultures.

It looks like the game is going to be quite challenging. Have you incorporated any tutorials to make the game more widely accessible?

Yes, of course. We asked a Dakar veteran pilot, one that has participated in 13 Dakar editions, to help us to prepare a tutorial— one that explains the basic rules of a Rally Raid. We also asked him to design five small training stages, which we call “lessons”, for the player to complete, before proceeding to the real adventure.

It is essential that anyone who experiences this type of game plays through the tutorial and lessons before moving on. This is not a game with casual racing gameplay. It’s a game that puts the “head to work” if you want to be successful.

Nevertheless, we also prepared the “Rookie” mode for those looking for a more “arcade-like” experience, where the vehicles are more resistant to damage and include a compass tool to inform the location indicated by the Road Book when off-track.

"While it is nice to compete with all the obstacles and AI in single player, it is even more exciting when you decide to compete throughout the DAKAR stages with others, either via LAN or Online"

What can you tell us about the multiplayer aspect of the game?

From my perspective, multiplayer is one of the most interesting parts of the game.

While it is nice to compete with all the obstacles and AI in single player, it is even more exciting when you decide to compete throughout the DAKAR stages with others, either via LAN or Online.

Race, navigate, help others or be rescued by them and return to the competition during +1 hour per stage. It’s something unique. It is also very satisfying to play with a friend at home, using multiplayer split screen.

What is the single player experience going to consist of? Is there a campaign for players to follow?

The single player mode simulates the DAKAR RALLY 2018 full race. The player must register into one of the five available categories and based on that, will have to start a stage on a specific hour with the provided Road Book. Example: Bikes and cars usually don’t start at same time as trucks. Also, Road Books for trucks are many times different to those for Bikes and Quads.

Once the player starts, depending on the previous position, it may find other vehicles in trouble. Players will have to race not only against the other NPCs but also against nature in terms of the terrain, weather, etc.

Was it challenging to make the game since there are quite a few different vehicle types and each handles uniquely?

Absolutely! This game has many technical challenges and the vehicle system was one of them. We decided not to license a 3rd party driving system, largely because the existing racing engines are focused on a specific category. Most of them 4-wheel vehicles.

However, Dakar includes five categories (Cars, Bikes, Quads, SxS and Trucks). All of them have different engines, wheelbases, horsepower, and of course different physics, since a Truck has nothing to do with Motorbikes when it comes to driving physics.

That’s why we decided to start from scratch with our own vehicle system. It made initial development not as fast as we would have liked, but we will build the engine and adjust it to our needs, since we have a series of Dakar titles to produce.

Roughly speaking, how big is the game’s world compare to say something like Forza Horizon 3?

We truthfully aren’t very familiar with the “FH3” map, but I can confirm that “DAKAR 18” has a huge open world with +18,000km2 (around 7,000miles2) and it’s not a fantasy world. It is a simulation of the real cartography of Peru, Bolivia and Argentina, with a scale reduction of 1:32 and that includes the respective vegetation, wild life, soil, weather, etc.

Are there plans to release more games related to the Dakar Rally in the coming years?

Yes. Our project for “DAKAR” is a 3-game project: “DAKAR 18”, “DAKAR 19” and “DAKAR 20”. Each one recreating and simulating the characteristics (vehicles, pilots, road books, open world, etc) of the respective DAKAR RALLY (2018, 2019 and 2020). We also expect to improve graphics, audio, physics and animations every year and of course add new key features every year.

The game will feature Xbox One X specific enhancements. What can players expect if they are playing the game on Xbox One X? Is 4K/60fps on the cards?

For Xbox One X, “DAKAR 18” will have improved frame-rates at 60fps and improved visuals (including a 4K experience).

" Currently the game is running on an average of 40fps on Xbox One and PS4 at 16:9, 1080p. That’s where a PS4 Pro and Xbox One X can boost for better visuals and framerates"

And how will the PS4 Pro version turn out in terms of resolution and frame rate?

As we are doing for Xbox One X, PS4 Pro will have an increased frame-rate at 60fps and allow a 4K experience too.

From a development perspective, how do you find the Xbox One X to be? With so much GPU power, we are sure you must be doing some amazing things.

Xbox One X is the correct evolution to approach the next gen consoles. It’s the correct way so we can work on more realistic Dakar representation. However, we need to see how the market will respond. We need to confirm if the consumers will be more interested on a powerful machine, like Xbox One X, or a Nintendo Switch. We would love to focus on such a machine and explore it. On the other hand, if we don’t find a big number of users on this platform, then we’ll need to adjust investments.

How is the game running on the original Xbox One and PS4, frame rate and resolution wise?

Currently the game is running on an average of 40fps on Xbox One and PS4 at 16:9, 1080p. That’s where a PS4 Pro and Xbox One X can boost for better visuals and framerates.

Do you have any plans to bring the game to Nintendo Switch? If not, why?

Right after the DAKAR 18 release, we will start working on DAKAR 19 and we plan to include a small team studying DAKAR’s viability on Nintendo Switch. They’ll have until December to provide a list of pros & cons of DAKAR on Nintendo Switch. Only then will we be able to say if (and why) we will have DAKAR 19 on the Nintendo Switch.

Next gen is coming sooner or later. From a development perspective, what is your biggest expectation from the next PlayStation and next Xbox?

Beyond the usual evolution of the Xbox One X / PS4 Pro, with a more powerful GPU, memory, CPU, and especially an SSD, we hope for improvements which allow us to finally turn up the scale on realistic visuals in a real-time interactive environment. I also expect improvements on the disc & storage and for everything related to VR.

We expect to have a better way to distribute games, since currently the best you can get for retail is a BD50 discs (that can handle less than 50GB). Alternatively, perhaps the industry adapts to duplication to portable SSD’s so distribute a digital key for a posterior download becomes more common. Whatever happens, we believe that they will try to improve the retail distribution of the games and maybe improve the cloud services and the devices for VR. We expect high quality wireless headsets that allow free movements in 4K quality.

Nevertheless, we only expect to reboot our technology for the next gen, after the third Dakar (by 2020). I don’t think the next gen of consoles will arrive before that.

The Fall season is just getting started but there are already some big releases to play.

September is nearly here and that means the vaunted Fall deluge is nearly upon us. Next month will see some big triple-A releases, some long-awaited indie gems and of course, sports games. Whatever your tastes may be, there’s plenty to look forward to so let’s check out 10 standout titles in September 2018.

Spider-Man

The biggest release of the month, bar none, Insomniac’s highly anticipated Spider-Man game will finally be available. Releasing exclusively for PS4 on September 7th, Spider-Man will feature the enormous open city of Manhattan to explore and several villains like Electro, Vulture, Shocker, Mister Negative and much more. Though Spidey will be mostly on his lonesome, he’ll have a number of different suits to help him out – like the Velocity Suit and Iron Spider. With the wit and adventure that dictates a Spider-Man tale, we can’t wait to see how this exclusive shakes out.

NBA 2K19

So last year’s NBA 2K wasn’t exactly well received by the community – and people in general. NBA 2K19 appears to stay close to its roots, celebrating its 20th anniversary and bringing the Neighborhood out once again for players to roam in. With a soundtrack curated by Travis Scott and some good looking visuals, maybe this will be the redemption that the series deserves. NBA 2K19 is out on September 11th for Xbox One, PS4, PC and Nintendo Switch.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider

Set two months after Rise of the Tomb Raider, Shadow of the Tomb Raider continues the journey of Lara Croft as she tries to stop Trinity. Of course, she accidentally triggers the apocalypse in the process and must make things right. Along with expanded combat and weapon customization options, Shadow of the Tomb Raider will feature tougher tombs and full underwater exploration. Perhaps even more interesting are the different settings for each gameplay aspect, letting players make certain parts easier or harder. Shadow of the Tomb Raider is out on September 14th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

Valkyria Chronicles 4

The Valkyria Chronicles series has had a number of follow-ups including the ill-fated Valkyria Revolution. However, it’s been a long time since we’ve had a title that follows the overall atmosphere of the first game. Valkyria Chronicles 4 seems intent on going that route, even taking place around the same time as the first game. It introduces a new Grenadier class and also has the Brave System, which adds further customization when a unit dies or is fatally wounded, allowing for stat increases and AP restoration. Valkyria Chronicles 4 will be out on Xbox One, PS4, PC and Nintendo Switch on September 25th.

Life is Strange 2 – Episode 1

Dontnod’s Life is Strange 2 will see its first episode releasing on September 27th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Moving on from the saga of Max and Chloe, the sequel follows the Diaz brothers, Sean and Daniel. Following an incident of sorts, the duo is on the run and heading to their home in Mexico. Like the first game, different decisions will lead to different outcomes, though it will also have the effect of influencing young Daniel’s thinking as the story progresses. Whether the game can still tug at our heartstrings and deliver a compelling story remains to be seen but for now, it’s looking pretty good.

FIFA 19

Another year, another FIFA and another chapter in the Journey of Alex Hunter. Along with including the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Super Cup for the first time, FIFA 19 also revamps a number of its gameplay features. Though the Active Touch and 50/50 systems sound “meh”, the Dynamic Tactics system lets players create different strategies and then change between them during a match. It’s all well and good but will this year’s FIFA shake things up? We’ll find out when it releases for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC on September 28th.

The Bard’s Tale 4: Barrows Deep

A follow-up to the classic RPG series, The Bard’s Tale 4: Barrows Deep features much of the same party-based dungeon crawling that made the old games so endearing. With several unique classes, dozens of different skills, seven cultures and tons of puzzles to solve, The Bard’s Tale 4 looks to be an absolutely compelling experience set in a beautifully detailed world. Look for it to release for PC on September 18th.

Dakar 18

Lest you think this is another underwhelming racer from Milestone, Dakar 18 is actually an open world racing game. It’s centred on the real world Dakar Rally endurance race, taking place in South America across 9000 kilometres. Along with an immense world, players can expect five different types of vehicles from cars and motorcycles to quad bikes. You can even walk around on foot if necessary. Dakar 18 releases on September 11th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

Dragon Quest XI

The epic follow-up in Square-Enix’s famous RPG series (no, not that one. The other one). Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age takes place in Lotozetasia and follows a hero who is also called “The Luminary”. The hero’s role is to battle the forces of darkness and prevent the “Dark One” from being resurrected. Though the premise seems cliched, Dragon Quest XI offers a compelling adventure with memorable companions and solid turn-based combat. It’ll release on September 4th for PS4 and PC.

The Walking Dead: The Final Season – Episode 2: Suffer the Children

Telltale Games kicked off the final season of The Walking Dead pretty well with Episode 1: Done Running. With Clementine and AJ finding a safe haven of sorts with other kids, Episode 2: Suffer the Children will continue to amp up the drama and potential dangers to come.
Sounds about right.

As the next generation of consoles approaches, we’ve been hearing more from developers about what they expect to see from the next PlayStation and Xbox. Recently, we sat down with Paulo Gomes of Bigmoon Entertainment, developers of the upcoming rally simulator Dakar 18, and asked him about what his expectations from the PS5 and the next Xbox are.

While he does hope for things that are pretty much a given, such as more powerful GPUs and better memory, he also talked about other things such as better VR integration, which seems to be something of a popular demand, as well as SSD inclusion, and better distribution options.

“Beyond the usual evolution of the Xbox One X / PS4 Pro, with a more powerful GPU, memory, CPU, and especially an SSD, we hope for improvements which allow us to finally turn up the scale on realistic visuals in a real-time interactive environment,” Gomes told GamingBolt. “I also expect improvements on the disc & storage and for everything related to VR.”

“We expect to have a better way to distribute games, since currently the best you can get for retail is a BD50 discs (that can handle less than 50GB),” he continued. “Alternatively, perhaps the industry adapts to duplication to portable SSD’s to distribute a digital key for a posterior download becomes more common. Whatever happens, we believe that they will try to improve the retail distribution of the games and maybe improve the cloud services and the devices for VR. We expect high quality wireless headsets that allow free movements in 4K quality.”

However, Gomes doesn’t think the PS5 and the next Xbox are going to be out before 2020, by which time he says Bigmoon themselves will also have rebooted the technology they use for Dakar. “Nevertheless, we only expect to reboot our technology for the next gen, after the third Dakar (by 2020),” he said. “I don’t think the next gen of consoles will arrive before that.”

And personally, I think 2020 seems like a solid prediction. 2021 I think might be a bit too late, though obviously that still remains a strong possibility, while anything earlier than 2020 seems premature. However, according to some industry analysts, 2019 actually remains a strong possibility as well.

Dakar 18 launches on September 11 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Stay tuned for our full interview on Dakar 18 in the coming days.

The next big racing experience is now set to hit consoles and PC this fall. Dakar 18, the open world racing title developed by BigMoon Entertainment based on the South American rally held every year has launched a brand new trailer today that finally lets players know that they can expect to see it in their hands on September 11.

Aiming to give an accurate simulation of the multi-day, gruelling dessert rally, Dakar 18 boasts stunning visuals, accurate physics and every single vehicle and driver from the 2018 DAKAR Rally. Five different vehicle classes, featured in the trailer, will be available for the player, including cars, bikes, trucks, quads and SxS, all in single player, online, and offline modes.

Hitting the PS4, Xbox One and PC on September 11, 2018, players can enjoy as much high fidelity, super realistic off road racing as they like, which you can see a preview of in the trailer we’ve included below.

Enjoy some off roading action with Dakar 18, later this year.

Pitched as “One of the biggest open worlds ever made in a racing game”, Deep Silver and BigMoon Entertainment have announced Dakar 18, an off-road racing simulation title coming to PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One sometime this year.

Based on the cross country rally of the same name, Dakar 18 is said to be a realistic simulation with a huge open world. The official license is of course involved, allowing Deep Silver to include major Dakar teams, pilots, all five racing classes and the vehicles for them including Bikes, Quads, Trucks and SxS, in addition to Cars.

A single player mode is set to feature alongside some robust multiplayer, letting you experience the title with friends whether online or offline. You can check out the trailer just below. Are you looking forward to some off road action when Dakar 18 launches later in 2018? Let us know in the comments.
