Football Manager has always been a very popular franchise amongst the hardcore football fanatics, but there’s several people who, unlike us crazies, don’t want to get tangled in the intricacies of the game and just want to have a little bit of light-hearted, pick and and play fun. For those people, developers Sports Interactive make Football Manager Classic.

It seems perfectly logical that the game would be extremely fun on a handheld. It’s already coming out on the PS Vita in less than a week, and now Sega and Sony have announced that a PS Vita bundle of Football Manager Classic 2014 will be out soon as well.

The bundle will contain a voucher of the game, a Wi-fi PS Vita 2000 model and a 4 GB memory card. We haven’t been given a price for the bundle by anyone, but we’re assuming it will cost around/upwards of $250.

Stay tuned to GB, we’ll keep you updated.

Finally!

Sega’s classic Football Manager franchise is coming to the PS Vita as Football Manager Classic, which will (finally) be available starting April 11.

Football Manager Classic 2014 will feature Cross Save- not with the PS3 version of the game, which in fact does not exist, but rather with the full fledged simulator on PC. Football Manager Classic 2014 also marks the debut of the acclaimed 3D Match Engine, adding an extra layer of realism and immersion that’s been unavailable in previous Football Manager Handheld games, alongside a pretty much identical feature set to Football Manager Classic on home computers.

“It’s great to finally be able to release FMC Vita. This game has been the most technically challenging that we’ve ever worked on – we’ve essentially fit a PC game that needs loads of memory, a mouse and a keyboard into Sony’s wonderful handheld with a touch screen – and the help we’ve had from all of our partners has been wonderful,” says Miles Jacobson, Studio Director at Sports Interactive. “To be able to take your home computer save onto the road adds a huge amount to the Football Manager experience.”

“For years, the dream of many Football Manager fans has been to be able to enjoy a full version of their favourite game wherever they are,” says Shahid Ahmad, Senior Business Development Manager, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe. “Sports Interactive and SEGA have realised that dream on the PS Vita, and we at PlayStation are delighted with their ground-breaking results.”

Stay tuned for further coverage of the title.
