You probably know by now that the long awaited Heist DLC is finally officially inbound for all of the available builds of Grand Theft Auto 5, if not, you do now. One of the questions on everybody’s tongue, is how will Heists actually work in the game.

Thankfully the GTA Online producer and Lead Mission Designer, Imran Sarwar, has the answers we were seeking. “Each heist requires 4 players all at rank 12 or above, with one player as the designated heist leader.” Interestingly though, like a real world pro Heist, there’s an element of investment and risk on the part of the leader. He continues, “Leading a heist requires owning a high-end apartment so that you have a room available to set up the planning board. From there you’ll be able to launch missions as the leader, starting with the prep work and building up to the score itself.”

Being a Heist leader won’t come cheaply, or easily for that matter, “Being a heist leader has advantages and disadvantages. On the upside, Lester contacts the leader directly when there’s news of a job and it’s up to the leader to invite players into the crew, assign positions, pick outfits and allocate each player’s cut. On the other hand, the heist leader will need to personally front the set-up costs in order to successfully pull off the heist.”

From the looks of thing, it’s a risk/reward scenario in the extreme sense of the term giving players the opportunity to profit greatly, or ruin others. But if you ruin someone, it’s likely that they will spread word of your non-conformity to the structure and you may well find it hard to find willing team mates. I like it.

The mobile phone is truly an amazing piece of technology. Connecting us to those we love from all corners of the globe and keeping us appraised of the latest developments in an ever changing, ever growing world. Well, that’s what we normally think anyway, that train of thought doesn’t apply in Grand Theft Auto where you use your mobile phone to change the world around you.

But how can you make easy money in the game following all the patches that remove the exploits? How does $250,000 sound? Well, first of all you need to gather $250,000 for yourself, and that’s probably the most difficult part of this. Next up you need to be part of a crew in order for this to work.

From here, on Xbox One or PS4, hit the start button and go to the Online Mode. From the Playlist drop down menu, select the Challenges listing. From there, you need only find a challenge of your choosing, ramp up the amount your willing to bet and, upon completion, you’ve made yourself a whole lot of money. Isn’t that nice?

The Xbox One and PlayStation 4 build of Grand Theft Auto V got a monster one gigabyte update which, alongside improving the games overall online stability, fixed a vast array of bugs, be they minor or major, as well as fixing an absolutely massive exploit which allowed players to make $2.1 Billion in online GTA currency in a matter of minutes.

Since then, a user of the “se7ensins” forum that goes by the name of DatGews has discovered an all new way to exploit the single player portion of the games stock market. Though, DatGews does warn about this cheat. “BE CAREFUL and save often. When you click sell all make sure it says you will profit. The stock market is still very ****ed up and you can lose all your money or get trillions due to messed up calculations.

Do not buy more than 2.147B total Shares of any stock. Sometimes if you invest too much, stocks disappear from portfolio leaving you with nothing. SAVE OFTEN”.

So how do you do it? Well, it’s really rather simple and would probably see you arrested in the real world.

1. Find a stock on LCN with the biggest difference between High and Low value
2. Select Online character, accept message, and spam B/O to go back to GTA V
3. Repeat #2 until the stock value is close to the Low value
4. Invest all at Low value
5. Repeat #2 until stock is close to High value (or good enough to sell)
6. Sell all at High value
7. Repeat from #3

With basically all of the current generation games being released in a fundamentally broken way, it’s really no surprise that one of the biggest games, in both regards to gameplay and vision, has been hit by a series of connectivity errors that make online play very difficult.

Grand Theft Auto V has enjoyed it’s HD face lift and has profited greatly from a, being wholly honest, frighteningly good first person view mode being introduced. But “intermittent online connectivity errors” have made online play difficult for some. This issue seems to be localized to the PS4 build of the game.

The patch will skin you somewhere in the region of 300mb’s of storage space, it’s not huge but it’s still taking a chunk out of limited space which is unfortunate, it should download automatically as per usual if you’re PS4 sits in Rest Mode. At least it’s doing better than Assassin’s Creed Unity. Am I right?

It has been a long time coming and it’s a game that many of you have been waiting for, but two days before the official release of the 8th generation build of Grand Theft Auto V, Gamescabin have scored the game a very high, yet not too surprising nine out of ten.

The 7th generation build of Grand Theft Auto V launched to similar praise when it first dropped into the hands of critics, but given the wealth of improvements in the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of the game (the PC build is coming early next year), the high scores that you can expect to see in the coming days will be wholly justified.

The original Grand Theft Auto 5 launched in September of 2013 and blew critics away receiving high praise across the board, the game also generated over one billion dollars in revenue in its first week in stores, such was its success.

In a matter of days, Grand Theft Auto 5 will be released on current gen consoles i.e. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The new versions will have updated visuals, resolution and better graphics overall but that is to be expected. The PS4 and Xbox One have  tons of memory in them so the amount of challenges that Rockstar might have faced while porting must have drastically reduced compared to the ones they faced while developing the game on PS3 and Xbox 360.

As a homage to one of best games of last generation, a user from Reddit has compiled a collection of stunning environmental screenshots from the last gen version of GTA 5. It’s almost unbelievable that Rockstar were able to achieve this feat on consoles that were seriously under powered in 2013. The PS3 had just 256MB dedicated to games and the Xbox 360 had 512MB shared between the GPU and CPU.

All of the screenshots below are in-game and according to the user only in-game filters were applied. Quite amazing, right?

GTAForums member ‘Gr4ndy’ has compiled some interesting GIF comparison shots between the last gen and current gen versions of Grand Theft Auto 5. As expected the newer versions are much more richer, thanks to more memory and a decent GPU on the new consoles.

Grand Theft Auto 5 will run at 1080p on both the PS4 and Xbox One. The remastered version will come packed in with a first person mode, new content and missions, along with new radio stations. As we noted earlier, this is no ordinary remake. For those who have not played the original, the remastered version will be worth your time and money. And for those who have already played through the last gen versions, might want to replay the game for better visuals.

Hey look, the ESRB did something cool and useful for a change. I honestly would never have predicted that, but hey we all make mistakes. Today, the ESRB released their final ratings for Grand Theft Auto V on the PS4 and the Xbox One, however the PC version was omitted from the list, perhaps due to the later release date.

Anyway, not only did they release their rating, the rating differs from that of the Xbox 360 and PS3 builds of the game. So, what are the differences you ask? Well.

One of the oddest and most glaring changes that grabs the eye is, “caricatures of ethnic/racial groups”, which  is actually an addition to the original rating. The following piece of text was also redacted entirely, “the larger game allow players to use narcotics” was changed too “the larger game allow players to use drugs”.  This is something you would expect to be in the original draft.

So for the most part, things remain unchanged in their eyes. Grand Theft Auto 5 releases on November 18th on PS4 and Xbox One. The PC version comes out on January 15th, 2015.

There is a feeling among players who already own Grand Theft Auto 5 on last gen consoles that it will be a waste of money (and possibly time) to play it all over again on the new consoles. However as previously proven, Rockstar’s current gen version of GTA 5 is not merely a port. They have went out of their way and added several extra features such as first person mode, graphical and animations update, and new missions.

Rockstar recently released a ton of new screenshots from the remastered version of GTA 5. We have taken some of those screenshots and stacked them against the last gen version. The difference is expected but as this is no ordinary port, there are a few interesting additions to the visuals that the developers have implemented.

Some comparisons have been taken from GTAForums.

Galileo observatory is a perfect example to showcase what has been improved in the game. The walls have accurate shadow maps, better reflection of light sources along with improved foliage and draw distance.

Rockstar have been on a roll recently with Grand Theft Auto 5. Not only did they confirmed that the PS4 version will run at 1080p on but they also added an awesome first person view to the upcoming remaster. They also released a new comparison trailer that showcases the differences between the PS3 and PS4 versions of the game, however a a user from Reddit has gone ahead and compared images of mount Chilliad, revealing an interesting bit of detail.

The remastered version of GTA5 features improved draw distance which results into objects in far distance to be clearly visible. Take this example of trees on Mount Chilliad. They are nowhere to be seen on the last gen version but as you can see from the image below, the trees are now clearly visible in the remastered version. This shows the amount of effort that developers have put in the game. This is no ordinary remaster.
