It's time to relive Mono's harrowing adventure, and even take it with you if you can't put it down, thanks to the Switch 2's handheld mode.

If a harsh world with a sort of ethereal charm sounds alluring to you, Little Nightmares 2 Enhanced Edition is making its way to the Nintendo Switch 2 on May 29th. A short trailer has accompanied the announcement, and it pretty much sums up what to expect from an adventure that was among the franchise’s finest ones.

If you haven’t had the chance to play this one on other platforms, it follows Mono, a young boy who is looking to uncover the secrets of a mysterious tower sending out signals that have seemingly warped reality in The Pale City, where he lives. He is accompanied by Six, the girl in a yellow coat from the first title, who acts as his guide throughout the adventure. That takes care of the ‘Little’ part, but what about the ‘Nightmares’? Well, the warped world you explore comes with many enemies that require a careful, methodical approach to get past.

We were very impressed with how the sequel managed to build on all of its predecessors’ strengths, taking its unique brand of environmental storytelling to new heights with unsettling visuals and a tension-filled gameplay loop. Check out our review of Little Nightmares 2 on PS4, where we gave it a nine out of ten. Despite experiencing it through backwards compatibility, a native PS5 version is also available alongside Xbox Series X/S.
