Set in modern-day Tokyo, the story involves the iconic heroes battling back against chaotic forces bent on its destruction. The ones behind it are unknown (the lack of any announced villains may be a clue). However, you can look forward to the likes of Cloud (Final Fantasy 7), Lightning (Final Fantasy 13), Kain Highwind (Final Fantasy 6), and the returning Warrior of Light.

Newcomers include Final Fantasy 14’s Gaia and Final Fantasy 15’s Prompto, and on top of experiencing an ongoing story, players can dress up each character in modern clothing.

Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy launches in 2026 for iOS and Android, but sign-ups for the closed beta test are available now for those in the United States and Canada. You can register until October 28th with the test running from November 7th to 14th. Even more characters will be revealed in the future, so stay tuned and check out the official site for new details.
