Animal Crossing: New Leaf Commercial Features Return of Monica and Penelope Cruz

A new Animal Crossing: New Left commercial has been released by Nintendo and the focus is on bamboo. Also, Penelope and Monica Cruz – who are virtually indistinguishable in this video – but not much else. Also bamboo. Lots of bamboo talk. Check it out above and try to not agree that it’s weirder than the New Super Mario Bros. 3DS commercial.

Animal Crossing: New Leaf meanwhile has made for a great title on the 3DS, selling 6.35 million copies worldwide as of October 2013. It’s also received a great amount of critical success and is one of the more acclaimed titles of the year. Unlike previous games, you’ll be playing the Mayor this time around and running the town as you see fit.

Professor Layton looks stunning and if you look at the latest commercial by Nintendo which features Penelope Cruz and Monica Cruz, you will fall in love… with the game too. Because it just looks so engrossing.

Penelope Cruz is a Hollywood actress and a popular one at that, and Nintendo have always been securing such talent to promote their products. The Zelda games have also featured Robin Williams and Zelda Williams.

This commercial basically shows Cruz getting immersed in the game and in a dreamy state thinking about the game even when filming. I guess Nintendo games can do such things to you. Now only if Paper Mario comes out soon, and you will find me doing the same thing Cruz is doing in this commercial.

New Super Mario Bros. 2 Penelope and Monica Cruz Ad…Wait, What?

What?

Nintendo has released a new TV ad, most likely in the wake of GamesCom 2012. And it features the lovely Ms. Penelope Cruz playing the game, along with her sister Monica. However, Penelope loses to her sister and…yeah, I can’t believe what I saw either.

The ad, bizarrely surreal as it is, achieves it’s goals. One, make New Super Mario Bros. 2 look good. Two, make Penelope and Monica look good (which wasn’t too difficult).

Three, to showcase the new Nintendo 3DS XL. And four, Penelope in a Mario outfit. Because…seriously, what?
