Petroglyph’s Conan Unconquered, a survival real-time strategy game, will release for PC on May 30th. Developed by veterans of the Command & Conquer series, it sees players scrounging up a stronghold in the desert and fighting off endless waves of progressively tougher enemies. Players will have Legendary Heroes, an avatar, and much more to help them out though.

Conan Unconquered will be available in two editions: Standard and Deluxe. The Deluxe Edition retails for $39.99 and contains the base game, an exclusive hero Kalanthes, an exclusive DLC with the King Conan hero unit, the OST, and the Conan Unconquered ebook based on the short story “Black Colossus“. Overall, not a bad deal.

Along with fighting off waves of foes in procedurally generated maps, players can also explore the map for ruins of special power. Co-op is also supported, allowing two players to build a stronghold and fight together. Conan Unconquered is available for pre-order on Steam – stay tuned for more details en route to release.

Funcom has announced its next Conan game: Conan Unconquered, a “survival” real-time strategy game developed by Petroglyph. The studio is composed of veterans that worked on Command and Conquer, a pioneer in the RTS genre. Conan Unconquered is currently slated to release in Q2 2019 for PC – check out the announcement trailer below for a deeper look at the gameplay.

Conan Unconquered bears some resemblance to Numantian Games’ They Are Billions. Players construct a giant stronghold, manage resources to upgrade and expand it, amass a giant army, and face off against waves of foes. As time goes by, the waves become that much tougher, bringing in elites and siege weapons to take you down.

Fortunately, you can unlock different Legendary Heroes and even a massive avatar to help you survive. With procedurally generated maps, co-op support, and ruins containing powerful loot, Conan Unconquered promises a fun yet harrowing experience. Stay tuned for more details on the game, including a proper release date, in the coming months.

After switching developers, End of Nations is now switching genres.

The formerly Petroglyph developed MMORTS, End of Nations, is now going to be a MOBA. The game, which made a full genre switch, will remain free to play and will, according to the game’s official website, be the world’s first ‘MOBA RTS.’

Publisher Trion Worlds is now accepting beta applications on the game’s official website.

“End of Nations is a tactical MOBA where your success on the battlefield depends on the heroes and units you command and quick decision making in the heat of combat,” says Trion. “Dominate during team-based matches and catapult your commander to the top of the ranks.”

End of Nations has had a tumultuous development cycle, initially being announced as an online RTS, before making the switch to a free to play online RTS. Last December, the game switched developers entirely, from Petroglyph to an internal Trion team, and now, it has made a full genre switch.

Hopefully, after all this switching around, the game will turn out fine and actually, you know, release.
