The wait is officially finished, my friends- the long awaited, highly anticipated 3DS exclusive Shin Megami Tensei IV Apocalypse will be launching in North America on September 20, Atlus have announced. This puts its release date a little under half a year after its release in Japan.

To celebrate the announcement of the release date, Atlus have also shared a brand new trailer for the title, which shows us the cast of the game. The story in Shin Megami Tensei 4 Apocalypse follows the story of the original Shin Megami Tensei 4– so anyone interested in this new game would be best advised to start their way from the original game. It’s well worth it, anyway.

The game will also be launching in Europe, published physically and digitally by Deep Silver, though more details, including an exact release date, are not known as of right now. You can check out the new trailer for the game below.

Shin Megami Tensei 4 FINAL has finally received its North American title and release date- Shin Megami Tensei 4 Apocalypse will be launching this Summer exclusively on the Nintendo 3DS, and conclude the epic story that Shin Megami Tensei 4 kicked off on the Nintendo 3DS back in 2013.

Apocalypse‘s story overlaps with the original game’s quite a fair bit, and will also feature a lot of returning characters- as a result, it is heartily recommended that you finish the original game first (which you should anyway, it’s great). Apocalypse will feature returning characters, more elaboration on some of the lore and plot points in the original’s world, returning characters, as well as another epic divine conflict of the kind the series is known for.

Shin Megami Tensei 4 Apocalypse will launch digitally and at retail this Summer on the Nintendo 3DS in North America. A European release date has not yet been announced.
