Sanzaru Games has released a new gameplay video for its upcoming title, Sly Coop 4: Thieves in Time, and it shows how the PS3 and PS Vita connectivity for the game benefits you. The PS Vita servers as a set of X-ray goggles, and you can use it to sync up with the PS3 and then look for treasures via augmented reality, like in AR games, in the game’s console version. It’s pretty nifty.

There’s also plenty of gameplay footage in there, so those looking forward to the game should definitely have a look at the video.

Sly Cooper was originally planned for a release this year, but was later delayed. It’s now set for an “early 2013” launch for both, the PS3 and the PS Vita.

Developer Sanzaru Games has announced that the upcoming Sly Cooper 4: Thieves in Time will be releasing on the PS3 and PS Vita simultaneously this autumn. The game will have cross-platform play, meaning you’ll be able to play your singular save game using any of the two systems.

Sanzaru president Glen Egan also revealed that Carmelita Fox will be a playable character. Other than that, he gave a few more details:

“The game picks up where Sly 3 left off, and Sly is feigning amnesia so he can be with the love of his life, Carmelita.

But when he rejoins the Cooper Gang on their time-traveling escapade to restore his family’s legacy, you can be sure Carmelita will quickly become embroiled in their wild adventure.

“The portable version will contain all the same awesome Sly Cooper action you will find on the PS3 along with cool Vita-specific features that incorporate the front and rear touchscreens and motion controls.”

Sanzaru Games, developers of Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time- the fourth entry in Sony’s platformer franchise- now has a confirmed release date. Not an exact release date per se, but at least we have a window now.

While talking to GameSpot, Sanzaru confirmed that Sly 4 will be releasing for the PS3 this Autumn. They did not comment on a more specific release date though, but something’s better than nothing.

We have few details on Sly 4, but you can check out the few we have over here. We do know that the villain is some guy named El Jefe and that the game will feature Sly’s ancestors.

A new video for the upcoming fourth installment in the Sly series, titles Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, has been released, revealing the main villain of the game. El Jefe is kind of a super villain. He’s also super-cool.

Sanzaru Games, developers of Secret Agent Clank and Ninja Reflex, will be developing Thieves in Time for the PS3. The game will release next year.

Looks like the cunning Racoon is all set for an HD outing.

The Sly Collection which released a few days back in US, contains a hidden teaser trailer which hints that a new Sly game is in development.

The brief teaser shows an enemy passing by as Sly looks on from behind some bushes. All of it looks like in-game footage to us.

We would really love to see a Sly 4 announcement soon and this teaser has managed to get our hopes really high.
