After Assassin’s Creed Mirage and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty leaked for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium, Sony has officially confirmed their inclusion for December. Both will be playable for PS4 and PS5, but that’s not all.

Critically acclaimed Skate Story by Sam Eng is also available on the service, and from December 16th, you can also access Granblue Fantasy: Relink. Released after years of delays, the action RPG follows Gran/Djeeta as they venture to the Zegagrande Skydom and deal with a dangerous cult.

Other notable additions include Planet Coaster 2 and LEGO Horizon Adventures on PS5, the latter also recently added to PlayStation Plus Essential. Cat Quest 3 is playable on PS5 and PS4 alongside not one but two Paw Patrol titles – Grand Prix and World.

As for Premium subscribers, they receive exclusive access to Soulcalibur 3 on both platforms. Based on the PS2 version, it includes quick save, custom video filters, rewind, and more.

Premium subscribers will also allegedly receive access to classics such as Tomb Raider: Anniversary, Tekken 3 and Soulcalibur 3.

The spooky season started early for PlayStation Plus subscribers with the addition of Alan Wake 2 to Essential last week. While Silent Hill 2 remake is allegedly next for Extra and Premium subscribers, Dealabs’ billbil-kun has reported another major horror entry joining the line-up: 2024’s Until Dawn.

A remake of Supermassive’s classic, it was released for PS5 and PC in October 2024 to mixed reviews (and the Until Dawn film didn’t do much to bolster interest). You can check out our thoughts here, but alongside low Steam numbers, it reportedly performed worse than Concord on PS5. Developer Ballistic Moon would “effectively” close last March after failing to secure funding (and allegedly pitching another project to Sony).

Of course, there’s apparently even more in store, including As Dusk Falls and V Rising for Extra subscribers. As for PlayStation Classics, available exclusively for Premium subscribers, Tomb Raider: Anniversary, Tekken 3 and Soulcalibur 3 will reportedly be made available. Stay tuned for more updates and the official announcement in the meantime.

The Last of Us Part 2 and Remastered will also be available for PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers on September 26th.

Remedy’s acclaimed psychological horror Alan Wake 2 is the next big title coming to PlayStation Plus Essential (and other tiers) as a free monthly game. It will be available on October 7th alongside Goat Simulator 3 and Cocoon.

Released in 2023 (and winner of our Game of the Year award), Alan Wake 2 follows up on the original by offering two protagonists: Wake and Saga Anderson. The latter is an FBI special agent investigating mysterious murders in Bright Falls and eventually connects with the former. Boasting incredible production values and storytelling, the sequel sold over two million units as of February 2025.

But that’s not all. To celebrate The Last of Us Day on September 26th, PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members can experience The Last of Us Part 2 on PS4 and The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered on PS5. In terms of PlayStation Classics, Premium members can look forward to the addition of Tekken 3 (PS One), Soulcalibur 3 (PS2) and Tomb Raider: Anniversary (PS2) later this year.

All it took was one bad bit of code to wipe your progress.

Everyone faces their own personal tragedies when it comes to games. Dying to gravity in a Dark Souls deathless run, a single Infected ruining your colony in They Are Billions…however, no tragedy is greater than ultimately losing your save data. Let’s take a look at 15 games this happened with and relive those dark days.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City

For all the credit that Grand Theft Auto games get, it’s easy to forget some of the major bugs in early titles like Vice City. In launch copies, there was a nasty bug during the Ice Cream Factory mission. If you tried to save during the mission, the save data would become corrupted, requiring you to start from the game’s beginning. This was fixed for subsequent copies of the game but that feeling of losing progress, any kind of progress, was still a bummer.

The rapier fighter from Soulcalibur 3 will be making her return.

Amy will be joining the roster of Soulcalibur 6, Bandai Namco’s most recent entry in the weapons-based fighting series. Having first debuted in Soulcalibur 3, she’ll be available as DLC, both standalone and for Season Pass owners. Check out her announcement trailer below.

Much like Raphael, Amy uses a rapier and doles out lightning fast strikes. Though she doesn’t have the longest reach, her speed and mobility make up for the same. Bandai Namco didn’t confirm when Amy would be released, so stay tuned for more information. She’ll be joining the likes of Tira and 2B from Nier: Automata, who were also post-launch DLC characters.

For non-Season Pass owners, a Creation Parts Set will be released on February 19th. This will expand on the character creator with 67 more parts. Players will also receive 17 and 11 background tracks from Soul Edge and Soulcalibur respectively. Soulcalibur 6 is currently available for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Check out our official review for it here.

Whether it was great gameplay or gorgeous visuals, these PS2 games had you covered.

Sony’s PlayStation 2 is the best-selling console of all time with more than 155 million units sold since 2000. The console started somewhat slow but picked up with awesome title after awesome title. Even when other consoles like the Xbox and GameCube rivaled it in terms of visuals, there were still plenty of great and visually splendid titles (not all exclusives, mind you) to enjoy on the PS2. Let’s take a look at 15 of them below.

Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty

Though somewhat divisive over protagonist and range of metaphysical themes, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty was universally praised for its visuals. As a jump from the PS One to the PS2 era, the animations, texture work and cinematic direction saw monumental improvements. Despite the highly industrial setting, environments were realistic, right down to the grime, dirt and atmospheric lighting.
