The Chronicle of Souls mode isn’t the only story-centric mode coming to Project Soul’s Soulcalibur 6. Publisher Bandai Namco has announced a second story mode, called Libra of Soul, which allows players to create a custom fighter. They travel the world, battling both player-created characters and Soulcalibur heroes as they find Soul Edge shards. Each encounter will have its own set of rules, offering new challenges at every turn. Check out the trailer announcing the new story mode below.

As is to be expected, your custom fighter can have numerous defining features. Facial features, armour, clothes, hair-style, weapons, fighting style, and much more are open for customization. Choose from 16 different races, ranging from humans and lizardmen to even skeletons. Bandai Namco also confirmed at Gamescom that both ranked and casual online play is included. Players can fight online using the main cast, or their own custom characters.

If that weren’t enough, Tira, the Bird of Death, will be coming to the game as well. She’s a bonus for those who buy the Season Pass, but will be sold as standalone DLC later. Soulcalibur 6 arrives for PC, Xbox One, and PS4 on October 19th.
