Castlevania is in a weird spot. With an ongoing, popular Netflix anime adaptation, and getting a lot of attention via Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, the franchise probably has more overall notoriety in the mainstream than it has ever had. Yet, like most of Konami’s properties, it remains dead on the gaming front. While there’s no new titles on the horizon, you can revisit the franchise in music form with Spotify.

As announced by Konami, several soundtracks from the classic series can be found via their Spotify. You will need to sign up for an account if you don’t have one, but can listen to them with ads for free, or with no ads by signing up for Spotify Premium. The soundtracks range from the classics like Symphony of the Night to the more obscure such as Aria of Sorrow. They say they’ll be adding more in the future, so keep your eye on it.

Castlevania has nothing new on the horizon, but there has been several re-releases such as last year’s Castlevania Anniversary Collection as well as the recently released mobile version of Symphony of the Night.

Spotify has been available exclusively on PlayStation- in fact, by all appearances, it looked like Sony had sewn Spotify up in an exclusive partnership, much like Microsoft and HBO last generation. However, it seems like Spotify may finally be coming over to Xbox, too.

Sources and evidence corroborate that internal testing for an Xbox Spotify app is currently underway- implying that the app may be close to completion, and therefore, release. For instance, screenshots of Microsoft’s Larry ‘Major Nelson’ Hryb testing the Spotify App for Xbox were posted on the Xbox One Reddit earlier this week; shortly afterwards, a report on The Verge emerged, claiming that insider sources are confirming that a Spotify app is indeed incoming soon. Finally, a leaked screenshot from the Microsoft retail training portal seems to also confirm a Spotify Xbox One app.

Guys, where there is smoke, there is fire- and there’s a hell of a lot of smoke here for there to be no fire, know what I’m saying? Spotify has fast become for music what Netflix is for movies and TV- so it’s good to see that it will soon be available for a broader audience, and not be exclusive much longer.

Last year, PlayStation 4 became the very first console to gain support for Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming service. It was more than just a simple app release for the PS4, too, since Spotify, coming to the PS4 with PlayStation branded, had an ‘exclusive partnership’ with Sony.

There have been many hoping for that exclusivity to end eventually, and for Spotify to be made available on other consoles, such as Xbox One. But it might be time to just let it go as, in recent tweets made over the weekend, Spotify re-emphasized that it was for now committed to its ‘exclusive partnership’ with Sony and PlayStation, with ‘no information’ regarding a release on other consoles.

It’s a shame, since, with the Xbox One getting background music playback come August, and the release of the Windows 10 Anniversary update, Spotify would have been well appreciated on the system. For now, however, Spotify lovers who own Xbox or Nintendo will have to contend themselves with the lack of the service on their platforms of choice.

Rockstar Games has made the entire GTA stations available on Spotify and iTunes. If you like in India you probably won’t be able to listen to them via Spotify but iTunes works really well.

All the games released in the series are featured there and if you are a GTA fan then you will absolutely love what they have done.

You can check out the playlist on Rockstar’s website and they feature games like Grand Theft Auto 3, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, Grand Theft Auto 4 and Episodes from Liberty City.
