It showcased quite a lot, from exploration on different planets and various characters to vast cities and combat. Ship combat is also revealed, and it all looks solid. Check it out below.

Starfield is Bethesda Game Studios’ first new IP in over 25 years and sees the player exploring the universe as a member of Constellation. There are mysterious artifacts to investigate, but the player can go just about anywhere, with over 1,000 planets and various major cities to explore. You can also expect the usual assortment of side quests and activities that Bethesda is known for.

Starfield launches on September 6th for Xbox Series X/S and PC and is also available on day one on Game Pass. More gameplay and details are coming after the Xbox Games Showcase. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.

While there will be “tons of gameplay” and interviews with the team, the developer is expected to announce a Limited Edition Xbox Wireless Controller and Headset for the game. Video clips for the same recently leaked, and now, leaker billbil-kun has reported a release date on Dealabs.

Both accessories will allegedly be available on June 11th, right after the Xbox Games Showcase. The UK pricing was also revealed, via an anonymous source, with the controller costing £69.99 and the headset retailing for £114.99. The former reportedly costs €74.99 in Europe and $79.99 in the United States, while the headset will set players back by €124.99/$124.99.

Microsoft or Bethesda are expected to announce a limited edition Xbox controller and headset for the title, which has leaked in images (courtesy of billbil-kun on Dealabs). Thanks to @eXtas1stv on Twitter, new video clips are available of both.

Like the controller, the headset has text like Nova Galactic Pilot Commset and Property of Constellation on the sides. Even the mic is semi-transparent, which is a nice touch. The controller’s back sports a deep red shade to match the analog stick recesses and looks pretty good. If these are fake, then they’re pretty convincing.

The Summer Game Fest Showcase is first on June 8th, but the Xbox Games Showcase is arguably more important since it will provide a closer look at Xbox’s upcoming first-party titles. Of course, it’s followed by Starfield Direct, where Bethesda Game Studios will showcase more of the upcoming sci-fi RPG.

In a new tweet, Aaron Greenberg, Xbox Games Marketing VP at Microsoft, confirmed that both showcases would be roughly two hours long. “Seven days until our first-ever double feature. Roughly two hours of non-stop games, games, games, games, and Starfield!” It confirms a report by The Verge’s Tom Warren, who also felt the showcase would be 90 minutes while Starfield Direct is 30 minutes (which isn’t officially confirmed).

While many first-party titles could appear, with none having “full CG trailers”, Greenberg denied a recent Fable tease. “I’ve not teased anything. Prefer for our fans to be surprised when they watch live. But it does feel like right now, if I sneeze, someone will say, ‘X game confirmed!’ Love you all and the passion. Keep it coming, as we are about a week away!”

Notable leaker billbil-kun, who accurately leaked announcements for F1 23 and Mortal Kombat 1, posted on Dealabs about a Starfield Limited Edition Controller and a Limited Edition Headset. The former will retail for €74.99/$79.99 while the latter reportedly costs €124.99/$124.99.

An image of the controller features text corresponding to different functions, with Left Bumper being “Scan” and Right Bumper being “Mode.” There’s also Flight Control, Throttle (corresponding to the Left Analog Stick) and Power Distribution (mapped to Left on the D-Pad). Overall, it looks pretty clean and sleek.
