Coming to Meta Quest 3, SteamVR, and PlayStation VR2, players will parkour and shoot their way through a mythical adventure.

Of all the people to show up at the Future Games Show Summer Showcase, former SIE Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida appeared. After leaving Sony, he’s been working with nDreams Elevation, a new studio from the team behind Synapse and other VR releases, on a new title. Say hello to the action-adventure title Reach. Check out the first gameplay trailer below.

Out this year for PlayStation VR2, Meta Quest 3 and Steam VR, the title sees players investigating an underground civilization to unearth its secrets (and hopefully survive in the process). There’s a heavy emphasis on parkour with “advanced physics” and “gesture-driven traversal,” but you’re a “reluctant hero” of sorts, so it should be interesting to see how this plays into the narrative.

There’s also plenty of shooting to be had, though alongside guns, the player can wield a bow and arrow. You even have a shield for blocking damage and which can be tossed, Captain America-style.

Reach will receive more details and an in-depth gameplay showcase at the VR Developer Direct on June 10th. Impressions from publications like UploadVR are also in the works, so expect them to drop in the coming days and stay tuned for more details.

Venture through a dark world as The Burnt One, protecting Potboy's flame from all kinds of horrors throughout five unique tales.

MoonHood’s dark fantasy clay-based title, The Midnight Walk, looked good in its latest gameplay showing, and best of all, it has a release date. Launching on May 8th, it will be available for PS5 and PC for $39.99, though PS Plus subscribers get 10 percent off. PlayStation VR2 and PC VR headsets are also supported.

Unfolding over five tales with a cast of, to put it kindly, “odd characters,” The Midnight Walk sees players as The Burnt One. After becoming friends with the fiery (in this case, literally) Potboy, you embark on an epic journey, all while attempting to protect his flame.

There are moments where it comes in handy, like distracting enemies, though you’ll need to sneak around to survive. It’s a dark task in more ways than one, but the clay models, coupled with the stop-motion animation, create a visually resplendent narrative.

Stay tuned for more details and gameplay from The Midnight Walk in the coming months.

inXile Entertainment has announced its next title with Thirdverse as its publisher. Frostpoint VR: Proving Grounds sees two teams of ten players battling it out in various PvP modes. However, there’s a PvE threat as well, with biomechanical creatures hunting both sides. Check out the trailer below.

Game modes include the likes of Capture and Control, while teams will fight in Antarctica near an abandoned military base. Players will have more than a dozen rifles and pistols to use, along with tools like grenades, turrets, armor, and much more. Since this is a VR title, players can realistically hold a weapon, load and fire it, and even change firing modes.

Frostpoint VR: Proving Grounds is coming “soon” to Oculus and Steam VR. The developer is currently using Unreal Engine 5 for its next-gen RPG, though that seems to be a ways off. Wasteland 3 is also coming up, with a release set for August 28th on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.

A PlayStation Move patch for the game's PS4 version has also been confirmed.

Megaton Rainfall, the open world action adventure title that launched last year for PS4 and PC, is going way bigger, developers Pentadimensional Games have announced. They announced via their Twitter feed that their game will be made available on multiple more platforms soon.

On the PS4, the game features support for PSVR, and VR support is now going to be included in the game’s PC release as well. Not only will it be launching on the Oculus Store on August 9, but will also be launching on that same day with Steam VR support. In VR, the game will include gesture support, as well as a free roam mode. August 9 will also see the game being made available on the Nintendo Switch.

The Xbox One isn’t, however, being left out, and the game will be launching on it as well, though a little later than all the other new versions. The Xbox One version of the game launches on September 5, a little less than a month after the other new releases. It’s also been confirmed that the game will feature 4K support on the Xbox One X.

As for the the PS4 version of the game, that’s going to be the recipient of a pretty significant update as well, as Pentadimensional Games will be updating it with support for PlayStation Move, also in August- which should work nicely with PSVR, of course. Have you played Megaton Rainfall yet? If not, do you plan on doing so on one of the newer systems? Let us know in your comments.

No word regarding a Western release as of now.

Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner MARS is the remastered version of the original game that was released back in 2003. This remastered edition was announced back in 2017 and now the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu has revealed that the game is set to release in Japan in September of this year.

This remastered edition will feature remastered audio, improved graphics, and will even support 4K resolution. Gamers will also be ale to experience the game in a whole new light as it also brings some virtual reality content through the PlayStation VR and Steam VR. This is also great news for PC users who may not have had the chance to experience the game either on the PS2 or the HD version on the PS3.

As of now, we have no information regarding a Western release of the game, so we’ll just have to wait for some official confirmation regarding this.

Out on April 5th and comes with three games.

HTC Vive, the virtual reality headset created in conjunction between HTC and Valve Corporation, will be releasing on April 5th in the UK for £689. It was already announced to retail for $800 in the United States.

The VR headset will release with three games for a limited time. These include Google’s Tilt Brush, which lets you paint in a three-dimensional space with stars, fire and much more; Job Simulator: The 2050 Archives, a humorous title where robots have occupied all the real human jobs and you now have to learn what it’s like to get a job; and The Fantastic Contraption which involves players building a machine on a floating island somewhere in the sky.

The Consumer Edition in the United States was billed to come with two wireless controllers and “base stations”, a link box and earbuds in addition to the headset and games. It’s likely the UK release features the same amount of stuff but with the extra game.

What are your thoughts on the overall package especially considering its price? Let us know in the comments below.

The VR headset created in collaboration with Valve will be out next year.

Vive, the virtual reality headset created in collaboration between Valve and HTC, will be releasing in April 2016. This is opposed to the limited launch that was projected for December 2015.

Through its official blog, HTC stated that, “We remain committed to delivering the HTC Vive to a broader group of content creators and partners, and remain focused on delivering the very best experience possible for a consumer release.

“Since announcing the HTC Vive in March of this year we have focused on developing immersive content, refining both hardware design and user experience, and building relationships with new partners both inside and outside of the gaming industry. In collaboration with Valve, we have been distributing the HTC Vive Developer Kits to developers and content creators, and are continuing to work with many other innovative companies to create content that spans gaming, entertainment, medical, education and retail.

“This includes hosting a developer conference in Beijing on December 18th, launching the second generation of the HTC Vive Developer Kit at CES and engaging audiences at key events including The Sundance Film Festival, SXSW, GDC and MWC while expanding our demo tours.”

Though the VR headset will be out on a commercial basis in April 2016, developers can still expect some early units. “We will be starting the new year by making an additional 7,000 units available to developers, followed by commercial availability in April 2016. We are incredibly excited about the future and look forward to sharing more information as we move forward towards launch.”

It should be interesting to see how this pans out especially if Oculus Rift and PlayStation VR plan to release around the same time. Stay tuned for more information and let us know what you think of the delay.

Including Steam Machines, the final version of the Steam Controller, and a brand new Steam VR headset.

Valve has been conspicuously silent for about a year now, which has had some people fuming- you see, Valve announced their entry into the hardware market, which would be Linux based living room PCs, the Steam Machines, as well as the Steam Controller, the Steam OS, and a variety of other such initiatives to lead their assault into the living room. But then, in typical Valve fashion, all of this was delayed, and Valve itself disappeared behind the curtains, and we haven’t heard a peep from them since.

That may be all about to change, as it appears Valve is finally ready to show its hand again- they have just announced and confirmed that they will be showing a variety of hardware at GDC this year; said hardware ill include, they have confirmed, Steam Machines, the final form of the Steam Controller (which has undergone multiple revisions at this point), as well as a hitherto unannounced Steam VR headset that they have been working on all this while.

That’s not even all- capitalizing on their breaking the silence, Valve also seized this chance to trumpet some numbers. Such as the fact that the active Steam userbase now consists of 125 million users (active userbase indicating that these users logged in at least once within the last 30 days), while the service now has 4,500 games on offer- in both these metrics, Valve is offering far more than any of the consoles currently on the market.

Stay tuned to GamingBolt, because we will keep you posted on Valve’s endeavors.
