Due to the success of the mini console, Nintendo will continue producing it throughout 2018.

Nintendo has been enjoying great success recently both with its hardware and software. We had recently reported on the great sales enjoyed by the Nintendo Switch. During their financial report, Nintendo also revealed that the Super NES Classic Edition has already sold over 4 million units.

The mini console had launched back in September, 2017 and had shipped 2 million units by October. It’s certainly impressive that the mini console has continued to sell well even after that period. Due to the positive response received by the console, Nintendo have decided to continue producing and selling more units of the Super NES Classic Edition throughout 2018.

Overall, the past year was great one for Nintendo as they have enjoyed great sales across the board. It remains to be seen if the Super NES Classic Edition will continue selling well throughout this year as well. What do you think? Lets us know in the comments.

Messed up in a particular section? Hit Rewind while playing your favourite game.

Nintendo’s Super NES Classic Edition has received two new trailers, the second showcasing the console’s new Rewind feature. It is what it sounds like – if you mess up on a particular section, simply hit Rewind and try again. The company also announced that there would be a New Nintendo 3DS XL whose colour scheme is based on the European SNES design (which will be exclusive to Europe only). You can check it out below.

The Super NES Classic Edition will include 21 classic titles. They include Contra 3: The Alien Wars, Donkey Kong Country, EarthBound, Super Castlevania 4, Mega Man X, Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Secret of Mana, F-Zero, Final Fantasy 3, Kirby Super Star and so on.

Perhaps the coolest edition is Star Fox 2, which was in development years ago for the original SNES and is now finally being released. The Super NES Classic Edition will be releasing on September 29th worldwide.
